This is a tune I wrote with a friend. We were given a week to write, record and mix a song.
It started as an idea, but I'm thinking about reworking this and using it in a concept album.
Thoughts, criticisms, ideas, suggestions, you name it, all is appreciated.

Thanks, and listening to this again after not having mixed it for a few weeks, I completely agree. I think I'll take them out and only have them in the song once or twice, and much lower in the mix.
I agree those apreggios that go hard left then hard right are distracting and a bit offbeat but the rest is nice..
7/8! haha i like where it goes at :55. i think it meanders a little before that...that bass waveform sits nice with the kick. one thing i notice is the gap between the bass and the higher tones is pretty great, like what, three octaves? it sounds a little loose because of that. i might bring one of the parts down an octave or the bass up an octave at parts. i think those arpeggios that go hard left then hard right at times are a little distracting as well.
