hey all, i'm working on some algorithmic chipmusic and wondered if any of you guys knew of any examples of algorithmic chipmusic out in the wild? just looking for some context.

i'm specifically looking for insight into some of the methods employed/process. if you've written some yourself, it would be interesting to hear about this.

I haven't released the song yet, but the tune in the second half of this vid is procedurally generated. The rhythm and melodies are all controlled via the Z command in lsdj, and the patterns that play next are determined via the roll of a die.

i think a song made with IBNIZ would be generative.

here's the homepage -> http://pelulamu.net/ibniz/

it's a free program.

here's a youtube search for "ibniz" -> http://www.youtube.com/results?q=ibniz& … amp;tab=w1

that should be a good lead for some generative music.

pm me if you end up using ibniz, it's really fun i'd love to trade algorithms!
