Thanks! Me too. I'll probably be making another one very similar for my own use.

I don't think Kitsch does much modding these days. I do have frontlit Game Boy Advances on my shop and could do that mod for you.

Is there even a demand for the start/select mod? I thought it was a pretty cool idea, but I haven't heard of anyone trying it after I posted the guide.

I hadn't heard of it until now. I like the idea, but I'd probably try to find a way to make it switchable, or install auxiliary buttons.

I have slowly been aggregating parts for such a mod. PM me, maybe? I am working on making three GBA's with chiptune-friendly enhancements, but I could see what I can do for you. Currently planning for frontlight, prosound, button remappings, and maybe LEDs.

Are the neon green buttons from kitsch-bent, and clear green from asm?  From that pic the clear ones look nice, and lighter than I thought the asm ones were.

yep, correct.  the only 'editing' i did to the pic (almost all, for that matter) was an auto white balance, and cropping, just consider that the surrounding light is a tube light directly above where that pic is cropped off.
