Hey, so I'm sure that a bunch of people here have other musical projects besides their chip ones, or there are people who don't write chip at all, or whatever. I personally have not been involved in writing chipmusic for over a year or so now, I've been doing other music, but I still think this whole scene and everyone in it are just awesome. That being said, I'd love to know if you guys have other non-chip projects and what they are! I think it'd be interesting to see what there endeavors everyone here has, and how they're influenced (if at all) by chipmusic.

I'll start.

I do electronic/chill/glitch stuff. I still use a tracker though, I just can't wrap my head around other DAWs like I can around Renoise. Even though it's not chip, the way I write music is hugely influenced by my time writing chipmusic.

So yeah, share your other projects.

There's already a thread for this but your topic title makes a lot more sense.

Edit: My non-chip stuff is largely unreleased. I did the ost for a game called Vista Quest and it's sequel Vista Quest 2 at www.suitgames.com in .mid format. That's about all I have to show for myself musically. I don't really separate my various musical styles from each other. My soundcloud is indiscriminate.

I released a few things under the pseudonym "haunty." (http://haunty.bandcamp.com/) It was just a fun, short thing to do. Anymore I'm just releasing everything I do under arlen. I'm also working with a few friends to start a noise-rock/shoegaze band. Hopefully we'll get something recorded by fall or next winter.

aaaah! I loved your Haunty project, it was straight up awsome. Sad to hear there'll be no more of it. Stoked for your new things though.

In no particular order. Musical projects and somewhat related other things....

I had an industrial/ambiant/ebm thing going on for many years from the 90s to early 00s. I recently unearthed the entire thing and put it up on bandcamp at http://illlogicmtl.bandcamp.com/

I had a rock band a few years ago, as in.. with instruments and beer and all that stuff. I composed all the music at home, then we'd practice them as a band and the singer would write lyrics over the songs. We never recorded anything but I did put the stuff I composed online. All instruments played by me. http://www.myspace.com/placeholders/music

Over a couple of drunken weekends many a moons ago, me and a friend recorded some covers of old Pink Floyd songs. I did the music, he did the vocals. http://www.myspace.com/cirrusminorband/music

Somewhere around.. dunno, between 2006 and 2009, I was into electro under the name Push REC+PLAY:

A couple years ago in another apartment where I had enough place to have a little workshop, I built cigarbox guitars.

I once pretended I could code demos...

Hey Jophish, your stuff is great man. I like it!
I haven't really written any chiptune stuff in awhile. I still tend to use a couple of elements every now and then, but I've been making a lot of stuff that isn't very chiptune.
Have a listen if you wish.

Pretty much everything I do as Chainsaw Police is non-chip. I'm thinking of releasing my stockpile of chipthrash and amigacore under a new name, but that's for the future, yo.

My upcoming album isn't really chip (though some songs include chip elements). It's all 4-channel XM music.

I'm totally unsure of how to characterize the sound, but for now it's being called "space funk".  There are two singles from the project up on my soundcloud:
