Hello guys! I'm new here and was wondering if anyone knew any good pulse channel leads. Not arps, that's not my style tongue
Also if anyone has any tips for making good songs they would be appreciated. Thanks in advance and I'll be sharing my music once I get some more made!

Use Table commands, mess around, and program new pulse leads.

Well could you provide some tips for what commands to use to make a good lead? You dont need to tell me a whole patch or anything, just some good commands to use.

Try shit at random until you have more specific questions to ask! Listen to leads you like and try to replicate them!

"Good" very much depends on personal taste. What is good to you may not be good to me, and etc.

LSDJ is about creating new instruments. "A" (Table) command, and program inside that table.

I personally find the "L" and "V" commands help to make a lead more interesting, especially because you can use them in so many different ways.

Using "L" commands, you can slide notes up or down to imitate vocals or just plain crazy sounds; using "V" commands you can add some "character" to them, and combining the two makes things even more interesting.

For instance, I was able to create a sound in my song (check under my profile if you're interested) similar to the falling sound Mario makes in Super Mario Sunshine (that downward spiraling "Wahhhhhh!": find it here under "Falling" for reference (http://themushroomkingdom.net/media/smsunshine/wav)) by combining "L" and "V" commands.

There's a couple handy videos on the commands too, like these by Zef: http://chipmusic.org/forums/topic/9635/ … kthroughs/

Hope this helps!
