Hi! New guy here. I'm Peter from Sweden. I have been doing music in FT2 since 2002 I think. Not regularly though, I often dabble in metal or piano-based pop songs. But I often add a little bit of chip in those songs too and of course realize that those become the best parts big_smile.

I haven't kept up with the community at all, I still only listen to Maktone and Dubmoods stuff from 10 years ago. But just a quick glaze through the forum it seems that there is still cool chipshit going on!

I'm hoping to finish some chiptunes this year, maybe put out a ep on bandcamp or something like that. Got myself a Sidstation off eBay last year that I'm trying to merge with my ft2 songs big_smile.

Just put up a song in the cc forum, check it out if you want to know how I sound.

New here... I do music for 2 years like... Started on guitar, now piano. I've did few compositions on that too. If you wanna listen http://kubzone.wrzuta.pl/wrzucone/audio there are few.
Always liked those tunes in keygens for games, I reminded about those not a long time ago and that's how I got interested in making those. Found MilkyTracker and here we go.
I try to do unrepetative compositions, ambient like...
I like Aphex Twin, Pink Floyd, Bach and Erik Satie,so my music may be something like fusion of those..
I'm 18 for now... Just want to do something with myself... So it would be really nice if you'd like to listen and comment..
So here is my first submisson, from today..

Hope you'll like it..

oh, I made an account a while ago, but never saw this thread.

I'm Steven from NYC. I'm a chip newbie. Been playing guitar on and off for about 10 years (I'm nowhere near as good as I should be for having played that long). I'm super new to chiptune and I feel so late to the party. I tried out Milkytracker over the summer, but I didn't like it too much. A friend of mine gave me his old DMG, and around mid-November, I picked up a flash cart and LSDJ. And now I'm here. I've since been working on a lot of covers and stuff, just to get familiar with how to use it and how to certain sounds, but I have yet to make anything original neutral

I'm Zack.  I've modded some things before but it's always been really basic cosmetic mods.  I'm working on my first DMG, installing a backlight, Pro Sound, and some cosmetic things--paint, new screen cover, etc.  I'm not much of a musician, and modding consoles is more my interest.

Thanks!  I'll be sure to post any photos or questions I have.  I actually ordered quite a few bits from Kitsch-Bent.  wink

Okay, I love this site because Chiptune and 8-bit are obscure in the midwest and great plains areas and this is the only place that i ever seem to get legitimate answers. I've been thinking about trying to make a custom kit to play around with in LSDJ and I use Little Scales tutorial as reference material (which seems extremely helpful), BUT I'm a huge dunce when it comes to messing around with new and unfamiliar programs and I'm not confident that I can pull off the process without majorly screwing something up. My question is this: Can anyone help me with a crash course in this or at least give me more information? How do I properly transfer said patch over to my ROM when I'm done? Does the cart have to be blank or does it have to have LSDJ on it already? Will it mess with any of the songs I've already written on them? Help me please?

This should answer your questions (hopefully). I googled lsdj kit custom help:
http://little-scale.blogspot.ca/2008/11 … -lsdj.html

Also, here's a recent tour that's going through the midwest:

There's many many resources in these forum topics. If you have a question, try to do some searching around... it has probably been asked before:) Welcome!!$^_^

Hiiii you guyssss.  I've been writing and producing music for a couple of years now, most being chippy or chip-influenced but not all, and just recently getting into composing for games and more.  You can check out some of my released tunes at soundcloud.com/ectogemia or on the GameChops album, KK & Friends.  I haven't made any official solo releases, but I've got lots of music in the works, and I have a couple dozen tracks scattered around the inner-net on various compilations 'n' OCRemix albums 'n' stuff.

I'm joining because I *love* chipmusic, and I want to contribute to the scene as much as I can, and I also want to get to know more of the awesome artists whose music inspires me so much.  I'm at sort of a sticking point in my musical development, and I'm hoping that through getting to know some of the people around here I can grow to become the musician I've always dreamed I could be, and I hope I can help out anyone else who's looking to improve as well!
