I thought this might be fun. Especially for the veterans here, who've probably been making chips before I even knew about emulation. As the title says, post your first chiptune (or whatever you think your first chiptune is), whatever it is: audio, native file format, video if you have one.

Here's mine: a cover of Dragon Roost Island when I used to go by Jedi QuestMaster (I still do in some places). God, how embarrassing, hmm

Now it's your turn. neutral

Yes, that means you. You're reading this, aren't you? Nobody forced you to click this topic. If you don't have one, get to it! wink

Crazy, I've done a cover of Dragon Roost as well in nsf format. Well to more accurate its 2/3 the way finished. It's been set aside for the time being. Great job on yours. I would have like to hear some drums though.

I guess I'm obligated to share my first tune. It's actually SID hip hop >.< To quote the post above me, how embarrassing.

Word.

My really bad Famitracker demo stuff was posted just a few months ago. Here's the best one from that release.

I don't know what it was. I made something in Sound Club NT with arps and called it "chiptune" years ago. But before that I made a midi and put an NES soundfont on it. Does that count? Who even keeps track of that stuff?

Yeah, I feel like I'm more likely to remember the first chip stuff I heard than the first stuff I produced given time. Also, 2005 will have been ten years ago in a couple months here. Yikes.
