I love it, feels very futuristic. It's like something out of Neuromancer. Got caught up with it last night, looked at the clock and 2 hours had passed.. Oh, and the update installed just fine for me.

Matte black is cool, oliver. I think I prefer it to the glossy nanoloop 1 carts.

Some more nanoloop mono sound :

might have something to do with auspost being a garbage attempt at postal service but somehow being in position of behemoth power in the current year. *triggered* *triggered*

I've play with it two hours, with my new black DMG.
It's really a cool drum synth.
If you have a pro sound DMG there seem to be no hiss or hum on this synth which is definitely really great.
And the sound engine seem to be really deep smile
So great work Oliver wink

Also, I have spent way too much cash lately, but I have to have this. Submitted my pre-order today!

This is such a game changer. The bass this thing puts out is ridiculous. It's a rather temperamental beast though—there are definite sweet spots!

I've also encountered a few little bugs here and there.. I'll try updating to 1.0.1 first and see if I can replicate them. I think one was that the env/LFO destination resets to pitch from filter if the step pause is changed and then reset to normal. This may just be on the env/LFO screen though.
Also, shortening the pattern length and then resetting it to 16 sometimes throws the pattern out of sync.. I know nl2 returned to the correct position, but perhaps this is residual nl1 behaviour?

In general though, I'm really impressed with how this feels and sounds. The interface is nice and quick, which I'm assuming is something to do with the DMG CPU not handling the sound therefore having more time to draw the screen?

fixed the problem with step pause affecting the lfo destination:

i'll look at the pattern sync tomorrow.

nanoloop mono is on engadget now: https://www.engadget.com/2016/11/08/nan … cartridge/

I am loving it. Sync seems to work if i set 1.7 as master but not if i set Mono as master. Sounds hreat though. I did a little sound demo on youtube
https://youtu.be/Kqod4HCpj58

Edit - I see the video is on engadget too.

thanks oliver! good to see you getting some press coverage as well.

I did the direct out mod by connecting pin 31 of the cart connector and one of the ground points to a 3.5mm mono output (probably chose the wrong one as my screen now has a slight burn mark in it, oops). The sound is so much cleaner and louder! I think the only noticeable noise was from my mixer. Here's a test:
https://soundcloud.com/0f-digital/first … -mono-test

I really love the sound of this, it's got a bit of nl2 character, a bit of something resembling a 303, and a bit of that early gritty Aphex Twin sound of feeding drums through the MS20 filter.. I also love how it overdrives in a similar way to nl2 big_smile
