To be honest I think you're better off with one of Doepfer's premade combos, like the Mini-system:

The reason why is that you'll get the basic utility modules that would make up a complete voice with a rack and power supply included.  And it's MIDI compatible.


And when you get the swing of things you can start expanding and buy my modules that will hopefully be out this year. smile

I am really looking forward to the new Shruthi1 from Mutable Instruments. Its a revision of the Shruthi1 (note subtle spelling variation) with a few kinks ironed out and a slightly more complete kit, various filter boards and looks generally bad ass.

I also build a sammich SID which I still need to devote time to learning how to use but building it was one of the most rewatding things I have done.

Station X and Station Y both look interesting to me.  Station X in particular, with the MIDI/CV converter built in.

I'm hoping Analogue Haven gets them in.
