Hello everybody!

Someone just warned me about a MOTHERF*CKER who is currently selling one of my Game Boy music (the only one I did in fact) on his bandcamp page!!!

LAMER bandcamp: http://duskyflycatcher.bandcamp.com/tra … pe-you-are

My song on 8bc: https://8bc.org/music/rez/Subatomic+%28 … r+edit%29/
I put it on iTunes too: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/subato … d329181129

Of course I got the 48KHz/16bits raw wave output from my Game Boy to prove I'm the author of the music, and of course the tracked music on my Nanoloop 1.3 cartridge.

Someone knows a solution to request a removal of this fuck*r's account? Some of you can recognize others stolen music?

I found (with help) an email to ask for a removal, I will keep informed here if they answers me back...

btw, please sent any insult about his mother and his sexual orientation here: http://twitter.com/duskyflycatcher

well, I'm joking but I'm really furious about that sad

Well, LAST NEWS!

The LAMER as already removed everything on Bandcamp: http://duskyflycatcher.bandcamp.com/album/tilde (empty!)

And he also removed his twitter account!

I hope he will remember the lesson of today and will never try again to steal music...

Why does it happen so often to the demoscene/chipmusic scene to get ripped off and not to other genres? Is it the geek/nolife factor?

that probably factors in, but i also don't know if it's necessarily more of a problem with these communities than with other production or electronic communities. i'd imagine that plagiarism is a problem with any forum where aspiring musicians share their work. i'm cringing thinking about some kind of dubstep-based forums and the kind of people who play off other folks' work as their own.

Its easier to rip off an electronic instrumental then ripping off THE BOUNCING SOULS. Considering how little money people get in sales, I wouldn't be too crazy about it and just dmca bandcamp.

he got almost 200 bucks from kickstarter though, not bad!

I'm really hating all this new hip hop with chip music. Basically because the fact that its made with chip music gets totally dismissed. And I'm assuming it gets ripped off a lot because there are still many people who have never even heard of chip music or thought of using those sounds for other genres. At least here in "america". I bet the dood who try to steal this music is some hacker experimenting. He's probably looking for artists that are not well known to scam but he obviously didn't do his research.

Some "hacker experimenting"?

Perhaps this is one of the few occurrences on teh internetz where an united states citizen recognizes the whole continent of America and does not refer to his country as that. tongue Or something else.

I'm just a bit disturbed that this "american" doesn't really know what a hacker is.

when an american refers to america refers as america, it is with he certainty that every country will eventually be called america anyways.
