i actually own a Caanoo and use it mainly for Piggy. About preffering or not a console, i think is just depend on what your looking on them.

I decide to get a Caanoo, because this 3 apps, Piggy, Grafx2 and Superpikix. And also because the console is open source. So probably ppl will make other neat apps for the caanoo. I havent tried PSP version much, but as far as i know is pretty solid-good.

Ohh, is Grafx2 any good on the Canoo? That's one of the reasons I would want one. smile
Would be awesome to push some pixels on the go.

Also, my piggy crashed today in my caanoo! sad. And i found that when you press EXIT, the caanoo/piggy, it get stuck in a crashed screen. Looks like it dont boot/jump to menu in the right way. If anyone know how to fix that plz tell me big_smile

And... anyone have the Key mapping of the Caanoo?

Are you running the latest ghetto? I know some build of it had issues with exiting.
Key mapping, I dunno. Just play around with the usual settings in config.xml, you'll get it right eventually.

Yo Simon my man! Dingoo audio has been fixed for a long ass time. Never used the PSP, so I can't say how the audio compares to the dingoo, but the dingoo output doesn't totally suck, I can tell you that. Both myself and Jordan have rocked it live (tho I prefer the nasty bass gp2x live).

Me too, the same. It goes deep in the bass!

Which platform do you guys prefer?
Back when I was a frequent LGPT user I thought the PSP had the best sound output and a nice screen. Quite bad battery time though?

I've heard of people using the Dingoo - but it had some audio issues, no? Seems like a cheap and small option.
Never heard of anyone using the Canoo (or even owning one for that matter) - why get that one over a PSP?

Kind of aching to get back into LGPT on some real handheld.

the only reason for you to buy a psp is to play psx games on the bus (that's why I bought it).

it sucks big time with sample loading time. Yeah, the screen is bigger, the shoulder buttons are way better, but if you're gonna buy a handheld for lgpt only, go for dingoo. And the sound rocks! Subway Sonicbeat and I use it a lot live. With good p.a.'s and a subwoofer, you're gonna tear the house down.

Oh ok.
Yeah, PSP... I used it alot for piggy and for me it felt alot better than my GP2X (YES, the bass is insane on it haha)

Canoo is tempting. Dingoo too (what's up with these names?) it's so cheap and portable.
Thanks for your input! smile

why doesn't it seem worth it? the power switch daemon alone would free up the hard coded volume buttons, give you a suspend mode and allow for backlight adjustment. all current dingux users would have to do is drag some different OS files onto their sd. i'm all about going to opendingux ASAP.

yeah, in the mailing of lgpt i read starpause saying it's not worth it, nothing from marc, i guess.

I'm with bleo, there are some stuff on it that would totally be better to piggers, even if it lacks support later on.

EDIT: just read it's not stable YET, which might be in a few months, i guess.

because right now it isn't really stable and there isn't any definite continued support planed I think it is best to wait and see what happens. open dingux has tons of potential and awesome features but it's still kinda new.
