Zazi did make me like 6-8 Diskettes for 4 bucks (I think I gave him 6 though he only asked for 4) that includes shipping from Canada (and probably only that). So he is not a bad guy wink

BTW guys... are all  5 1/4" floppy disks re-writable? Cause I have about 500+ that i do not need. Would rather ship them off to someone who provides a free writing service

I have extra untested 6581... I need to figure out what set of 2 im using, but after that, I will hit you up if your still in need

also, i salvaged a 2nd set of parts for sid2sid, and also so ordered a 2nd board... let me know if you need em (its everything bsides the IC sockets)

I don't think the one from Kitsch is the right link you need for this (no +5 v line)...I'm no genius, but I would try using the official standard DMG-07 cable...probably get one for around $10 on eBay.

And when you cut the cable from the DMG-07 pcb.. feel free to mail me the pcb :-D teehee

I will be sending you anything I can when I mail the C64 also smile

use the DMG-04 or DMG-07 cables for the 5V line to be built-in already...

hope that helps.

Hey Kitsch, I have had a few reliable people confirm that the DMG-04 does not supply the power source. Have you actually tried? Trash80 was one of the poeple who said they do not sad

I havent done that color set yet, so IDK. Would need to bust out the multimeter

thats just it though, im admitting that the alpha mod guide has me stumped. Trying to understand it, but its not stright forward enogh for me.

@loagan, I basically want most of the mods done in that guide, im just having trouble understanding it, and what parts I need.

Im a artist with minimal electrician skills (mod a gameboy anyday, but this may be too much for ATM)
