Okay... this cartridge is absolutely wonderful. You can get some really interesting tones out it. The amount of bass it produces is pretty stunning, actually.

Really solid work here! I might end up copying something I sent to Imaginary and pasting it on the thread. Classic vibes, modernized.

Okay, so the reason I went with this LCD was because it had a 4:3 aspect ratio and I thought it was worth a shot.

tbh, it leaves a lot to be desired...

This is looking at it from an angle above:

And this is looking at it straight on:

I wonder if something is set incorrectly, like color inversion in a menu, but the seller didn't include a remote.
So, until I get my hands on a universal, we won't know. My assumption is that it's just a really terrible panel.

Anyways... I'll use it, but it was a waste of a 20 spot.

I just bought this one for my 128D, but I haven't received it yet... It looks like the seller only has one more available, so I'd act quick if you want one.

I'll report back once I find a good place to mount it and pull 12v from.

i'm really only familiar with 2.1 and 2.7, but this is how you control attack, decay, sustain, and release. it should be two sets of squares in the box and moving them should change the parameters in question.

I may have misunderstood the original question, but I don't think you can add a "note on/off" envelope akin to lsdj

I DM'd the TWiC homie, but he hasn't responded yet and I really don't want to be spam-y. This comp definitely deserves a shoutout imo.

Edit: unless DJ Cutman already covered some of the tracks on previous editions...

Here's a vid of just the slap bass section:

Nice, dude! I like the use of the R command. It definitely makes the 'slap' aspect of the bass more apparent. Glad to see this tutorial still has some traction lmao

Wow, there is a ton of fantastic work throughout this compilation. I'm stoked that I got to be a part of this. It's really refreshing to see such a broad group of artists coming together smile

Yeeeeah daddy. Really diggin' the change-ups throughout. Mixed really well and the noise channel is dank. Well done homie.

What BPM are you using? I find that anything above 180 will lag with heavy tables (most notably: V commands across multiple channels), so the only thing I can recommend is to cut your BPM in half and set your main groove to 3/3. Of course, you'll have to rework your tables and the R commands will get wonky. It might be worth a shot...

God, you've grown... I'm so glad you released it. I still get teary-eyed during Pineapple Fanta and I can't explain why. This album is as chaotic as it is emotially poignant, and it truly encapsulates the man I've come to know. There's so much great wav channel work throughout it's entirety. Job well done, my man.

You gonna do a new jam then?

Ohhhhh yeah. I've got some ideas rattling around in my brain, so it should be interesting. At least one major-to-minor change up hahaha

Yooooo I'm definitely into this. I'll get something hoppin' asap!

Having only recently gotten NL 2.7 myself, I can only recommend thoroughly reading the manual. It will explain a ton of parameters and the button(s) function for navigation. I know that the difference between 2.1 and 2.7 are massive, so the 2.3 tutorials are most likely dated, but they could definitely help you in creating a certain sound (like a kick, etc...)

I think that the learning curve for lsdj is much steeper, but mostly because it becomes the starting point of a lot of people's, myself inculded, foray into tracking. Probably why there's an abundance of tutorials for it instead of nano.

Nanoloop is incredibly powerful, so my only other advice would be to experiment as much as possible with all the parameters. You'll find interesting ways to make a hi hat sizzle, or make a clap/snare with the arp setting, or make the "S" channel wobble with the lfo parameters, or a sub-kick with an infinite envelope and pitch command. The posibilies are almost limitless, so go ham.
