Hey guys and gals, I have a Mssiah cart that I've only used once or twice since I purchased it about a year ago. I tested the sequencer and it's midi functionality and never used it after.  100% working.

I'm looking to trade for a decent GB flashcart

Hit me up and let me know what you're thinking!

Adding a cap between Vcc and ground should help too. From memory I've used 220uF in the past.

Sweet! I'll get on adding a ground and the cap. I'll let you know how it goes.

So, I just recently started modding and decided, after finding a broken sp at a thrift store, to frontlight a GBC I picked up. While the frontlight looks and functions perfectly, there is noticeable noise that wasn't there before. I used a 47ohm resistor and grounded to the power switch housing. I guess I'm looking for help because I wasn't sure if I could add the capacitor to the power rail. Also, this has been prosounded internally, but it's just left and right without the ground. Resistors for speaker switching have been removed as well. Would adding a ground off of the volume pot help?

Thanks in advance to any help, and sorry if this issues has already been explored.

I bought the powerpak, and while I can't tell you anything related to ntrq, I can say that it works well with pulsar and many nes games. The biggest downfall of the powerpak is how you have to save. You have to have an empty sav file with the same name as the rom, hold down reset for 4 seconds, etc... I really dig the cart for the most part though.

Onkgaku Tskuru Kanadeeru is a hilarious one that Snesei and I found randomly at a gamestore near us. It's worth checking out if you're into composing on scrolls. Limited sound bank, but it's waaaaaaay better than Mario Paint.

Ongaku Tskuru: Kanadeeru

It even has a mixer with pan, echo fx, and levels as well as muting and soloing. Pretty good for a cartridge designed to write your own music to export to an rpg they made.

Guess that's why I've bought 2 copies of it.

My suggestion, and what I'm using, is the Behringer Xenyx 302usb. Super affordable for a usb mixer with stereo inputs. Small footprint and you can power it through a wall adapter to power it as well. I think it has a super clean sound for the price. Here's an amazon link: Xenyx 302usb
Here's a link to a track I recorded with the mixer: You Won't Remember Me

Hope that helps in some way!

Also, being inebriated seems to work wonders, as previously mentioned.

I tend to start with ryhthm and bass and build around that. Sometimes I'll have a melody pop in my head. I sing funny made up songs to my dog and use those. My inspiration comes from just throwing random code into lsdj from time to time.

Feelings play a huge role in my style. A lot of times, my song are the inverse of my actual feeling. I write happy songs, but they have a darker or morbid message. An earlier song of mine (Push Off the Ground) is super happy, but was derived from a pure state of apathy. I felt like no one cares about me or what I had to say, so the only option when I was my lowest point was to push myself past it.

Hope that helps in some way.

I'm so stoked for you, dude! The mastering work is spot on; kudos to Ypmid! I think Party Now or Forever Hold Your Pizza is my new favorite, but I love them all in their own way. Party Now has such an interesting chord progression that draws me in and makes me want to dance my face off. It's been so rad to see your progress and getting to know you. You're moving along so quick and your compositions are getting stronger with every release. Great work, man!

Man, I'm actually looking for a new GB... but I must admit that, as much as I respect whoever did the modding, it's really not my style. Mine would be more... black I guess.
But hey I'm sure you'll find somebody soon!

Hey, thanks for appreciating the mod anyhow. I'm just tryin' to help a homie get his whip fixed! Hope you're right about somebody snatchin' this oldboy up!
