"Sets the adaptor to nanoloop / LSDj sync mode. Once in sync mode, it will only listen to clock/start/stop messages and send the appropriate signals to the Game Boy, so that nanoloop / LSDj run in sync with a PC program. In the program, select "nanoloop MIDI" as the MIDI port for sync output.
"

should work with LSDJ

See i think my main problem is I don't understand how to use the terminal correctly

"The USB-MIDI adaptor has three different MIDI modes for use with any MIDI-enabled PC-program. To set it to a specific mode, use the utility (download: Win / Mac version) with the following commands:"

http://www.nanoloop.com/midi/midi.html

That's the page that made me buy it, says it can sync with any program.. maybe only nanoloop can and not LSDJ I will try again with Nanoloop instead to be sure

Having a lot of trouble with the terminal and in general trying to sync the Gameboy via link cable and Nanoloop USB adapter to LSDJ, cant seem to find a clear step by step anywhere. if anyone has succeeded with USB sync on a MAC please help me out.

couldnt even get the gameboy to trigger the start of Ableton live

I think as much as its easy to get lost in the same habitual patterns, its easy to get stuck in the desperation to break them

I guess its one of the many things that needs a healthy balance

Reggae has never dropped the off beat chord, and its never got boring..

People like techno, and that is pretty habitual

yeah i have a pet hate for laws and institutions overriding personal freedom of opinion and common sense. like people who take aspirin, coffee, vodka, viagra and sleeping pills but think 'drugs' are bad mmkay

bring forth the open source revolution

"How Come Nintendo Does Not Take Steps Towards Legitimizing Nintendo Emulators?

Emulators developed to play illegally copied Nintendo software promote piracy. That's like asking why doesn't Nintendo legitimize piracy. It doesn't make any business sense. It's that simple and not open to debate. "

How were the original soundtracks for the gameboy programmed?

also wondered, if someone made a soundtrack on LSDJ would it be possible to program into a gameboy game developed independently?

I think the question of whether you actually enjoy composing music is the only important one. Not whether you enjoy being seen as a musician, or whether other people enjoy your music. Loving it is the only good way through.

well said, so many people fall in love with the idea of being a cool musician dude who has vagina on tap, but it will only work if you fall in love with the actual process and enjoy the rewards of putting the hours in.

especially with chip tune where a lot of it is tedious programming, trial and error, experimentation, if you dont love all that but you do love the idea of being a cool dude, its best to stick to DJing trap on a laptop or something else you can learn in a day

some people give up or get frustrated because their music or their band/alter ego "isnt going anywhere", I just like to remind them to question why they make music, to go somewhere or for the love of it

really interesting to read everyones opinions on this one!
