Sweet!

As much as I love working with LSDJ, I really don't like the need for a computer to back up your savs. I know, this seems ridiculous, but in my current situation, I do not have access to a 32 bit OS install the tool onto, nor the computer of my own to do as I please with. I'm aware that there is a way to get around the need of a 32 it OS, but once again I have no computer to call my own.

Besides this, I love everything about chiptune and of the community, the constant creativity you'll find is overwhelming, just how much talent the community has.

Got an Android phone and an EMS cart?

I'd say not having enough time to do as much as I'd like to.

I have thought of using two GBs with variable clock mod and beat match using the clock mod pots. The pitch is affected which may not be desired (or could be a totally cool effect smile). Note that the sensitivity of the variable clock boards out there might not be fine enough, could be worth researching if you're interested in doing this.

That's actually an awesome idea! People have been mixing vinyl without matching pitch for decades with no problems smile
You'd just want to make sure to add a minute or so of not-very-melodic beat at the end of each track for you to blend the next track in on top of.

I think ideally you'd want at least 1bpm of precision to make it easier on yourself (not having to constantly tweak the bpm during the mix).

The best suggestion I can think of is to do what I've been planning to do for a while... get/make two arduinoboys and sync both gameboys to a separate midi clock source...

That also gives you the ability to add other synchronised devices to your live setup later if you wanted to.

Hey at least you didn't rip off the reflective layer of the backlight, replace it with sticker paper, and then also break the ribbon connection to get a horizontal line on the DMG screen like I did on my first try :-P

I agree that these are great idea and really open up all the possibilities of the chip!
Nice work on the boards, I'm very tempted to get one myself :-)

I sell it at cost price = 30 euro ex. shipping. This is because i don't want profit, but as much people have fun with it.

Have you considered open sourcing your code and schematic?

It'd be great to have the midi mapping for all the controls smile

BTW, is the board identical to this one? http://www.ooishoo.org/?page_id=15

Great to see some YM2151 love!

Hardware is the best for me. It's more portable and I don't have to wait for a computer to boot up before cracking into it. Just flick the switch and start laying down an idea :-)

I also find that a pc keyboard can stifle my creativity a bit...

Cool. I like this kinda stuff.
