He guys

I was wondering. I've got 2 ChipMaestro's and well....I like 'm. But I just saw a really cool video of a dude working with the Wayfar Midines and I was wondering what's the difference?

Is there any difference or is it basically the same?

I currently got the Meeblip, ChipMaestro, Ay3 and a Arcano MIDI NES is on it's way.....still I just love using hardware in combination with my VST's so I'm really interested if the Wayfar Midines is a good addition to this smile.

Thanks all smile

Haha thanks guys

Yeah im quite new to THE genre so i was wondering but iTS cool to Read that I can still call iT a chiptune album haha. IVe mainly played in bands and wrote creepy silent hill like stuff (also tributes for Allison road smile) so this is quite the changeover for me.

I will release it within 2 weeks I guess so, I'll be sending the link to you guys if interested smile.

The wisest thing would be to post it in the release section I guess?

Sorry for the noob stats haha and again thanks for the replies and info smile.

He guys

I'm about to finish up my first "chiptune" album....only the thing is...I don't know if I can actually call it that.

You see, I've used real guitars, drums (real and 808) and bass in combination with chip sounds/drums (Ploque and YMCK mainly).

Basically it's a sort of pop/dance album where the NES takes the lead haha, but can you call it a chiptune album or is it something like hybrid chip???

If you could reply, that would be quite awesome since I'm about to release it within 2 weeks and don't want to call it something it's not haha smile.

Thanks guys

Thanks smile.

Yeah I've seen the Ninstrument (actually think the 19" rack version he made looks awesome...weither it works or not haha) but it's just not the same as Chip Maestro and Midines. The main difference is that you can actually hook your nintendo up to an midi keyboard and send it out to your daw. Really simple and therefor awesome haha.

I've just ordered the Meeblip and hope that I can get my hands on the Twisted Electron AY3 but....still...I would just love to hook up the real nes and use that smile. So all the tips are more than welcome.

Hey guys

I'm new to this forum and really looking for some good tips because I'm quite stuck. I love the 8 bit sound and would love to transform my nes into a synth. Since there is the Wayfar-Midines and the Chip Maestro I thought I found what I was looking for....only to find out that these two are cancelled. Same with the LSDJ (even though it's gameboy...I went for it haha).

So my quistion is...what other options are there to either transform a Nes into a synth (quite simular to Midines/Chip Maestro)? Or if there is an equivalent to Midines/Chip Maestro.

Thanks a lot smile
