I think a GBC version might be cool because many chipmusic artists already have Game Boy flash carts, Super Game Boys, and SNESs.

And it might be cheaper to buy a Super Game Boy and EMS 64m GB cart(about $50) rather than a SNES PowerPak($140) for the SNES.

Would a Game Boy Color version be possible?

I love Lightwall!

Thank you so much.

I like it.

Thank you!

It doesn't seem to work properly with BGB game boy emulator, but it works fine with VisualBoyAdvance. I haven't tried using it with my DMG yet but I will put it on my flash-cart tonight.

I think you would really like this - http://freeroms.com/roms/gameboy_color/ … domain.htm - so check it out. Everyone is an artist lets you draw Etch-A-Sketch style with your Game Boy. Just be careful using it with the EMS 64m cart because it might mess up your LSDJ's save file. I haven't had this problem, my LSDJ's save file actually seems to override the Everyone is an artist's save file which seems kinda strange.

Good luck with your future projects - Thanks again!

I have a sleeping problem. Stress from my daily life keeps me up, then when I finally fall asleep I have horrible nightmares, usually wake up, try to fall asleep again, have nightmares, and repeat. Horrible nightmares every time I sleep.

I know of a way to get similar sound without using the Arduinoboy or the Game Boy.
You will need your midi guitar
-  a midi-to-USB cable
- and a computer running some sort of VSTi with music production software(FL Studio demo is free).

I would recommend you use one of these VSTinstruments
- Chip32
- Kraken
- Magical8bit
- Medusa
- Medusa2
- NESNoise
- NESPulse
- NESTri
- TB_Peach
- TB_Toad
- TB_Triforce
- or NESVSTi (http://8bc.org/forums/viewtopic.php?id=17976)
-There are many more amazing VSTinstruments that would also work, I personally enjoy playing Tablas using DSK Indian DreamZ.

Have you tried any other midi controllers like a regular midi-keyboard with the Arduinoboy?

Check this out - http://www.tencrazy.com/gadgets/ezeg/ - Yamaha EZ-Guitar Environment v2.21 might be what you need. I guess it lets you change what midi messages your EZ-AG's buttons correspond to.

I hope you found this useful. I wish I could help more but I don't have much experience with the EZ-AG guitar or Arduinoboy.

I know Sonuus makes a guitar-to-midi converter but it is monophonic, doesn't track the notes properly 100% of the time, and costs about $100. But it works with a regular guitar. I heard you can also plug a mic into it instead of a guitar and convert voice/sound-to-midi. I don't own this so I can't recommend that you buy it but maybe you should check it out.

I am thinking about getting my own EZ-AG or EZ-EG. Do you like the one you have? Does it play well? Can you shred on it? I've had problems playing shred-metal on guitars with synth/midi pickups because they don't track quick enough.

Please let me(or rather us) know if you found a solution to your problem.

If you get this working you should make a video and/or a video+tutorial. I would love to see you get the Game Boy projector working. You should try again. and Good Luck with your projects!

Thank you. I actually use all the VSTi's you listed except VOPM(but I will try VOPM tonight!).  And I LOVE Kraken.

As for suggestions for improvements

- Custom arp. Yes please! and could you include a button that allows you to switch backward through the list of arps. Medusa only lets me switch for arp to arp in a linear fashion forward through the list. I really want to be able to bounce back and forth between two or more.
Maybe you should have the arps laid out so you can view all of them at once and have a button next to each of them to select which arp is currently active. Then you could switch from the currently selected arp to any other. If you do lay them all out like this please include a back button also, being able to switch from a Minor arp to a Minor7th arp then quickly back to a Minor arp would be rad and very musically expressive.

- Custom waveform/Draw your own waveform would be way cool. If Medusa and Chip32 had a baby. You understand, right?

- X/Y style controls for two or four parameters. I don't know which parameters you might want to control? I just thought of this because I have controlled the vst effect Perky! by DarkWare with an Xbox360 controller's analog sticks and it worked out much better than I expected. I know there is already a VST that lets you hijack the controls of pretty much any parameter and make them into X-Y style controls(I can't think of what its called at the moment, too tired to think, I have nightmares almost every time I sleep). So don't go working too hard on this, its just a suggestion. Try out Perky! if you haven't yet, it is exceptionally cool.

- I would love to see someone make a VSTi that has almost exactly the same sounds as LSDJ. So pretty much a VSTi with LSDJ's instrument-screen for Pulse1, Pulse2, Wave, and Noise channels. Also include the Table, Synth and Waveform screens. But no step sequencer, just have the it be controlled by midi in almost the same way an Arduinoboy uses midi to trigger notes on a Game Boy running LSDJ. This is probably impossible but I use LSDJ all the time and love making music with it. I really should just find an Arduinoboy and do this with real hardware but a VSTi version of LSDJ would be so cool. But again completely unnecessary and probably impossible.

I would really like to try the unfinished VSTi's you made even if they are unfinished. I really enjoy using Kraken, Medusa, and Medusa2. I will continue trying to think of more suggestions for you. Good luck with your music and projects and thank you so much.

The interface does look cool. But you shouldn't stress too much about how it looks. If you make another version just focus on the features you think are necessary to manipulate the sound in a desirable way. I feel MEDUSA2 is a much more powerful tool for creating sound than the first MEDUSA. Thank you so much for your hard work, I really enjoy creating music with MEDUSA and MEDUSA2. Have you created any other VSTi's? or are there any you would recommend?

I use these - http://www.overstock.com/Electronics/Ph … oduct.html - they work pretty good even on an airplane. But I wouldn't really go out and buy them if I lost the ones I have. I found mine in a closet at my Mom's house.
