Vicious:
The chiptune compo they wanted as autostarting .prg but more common format is SND/SNDH.
After all, I'd be the man who organizes the compo, so just send me Your SND file into
yerzmyey AT interia.pl
and I will test it with our players. Then I'd let You know if it works or not.

Re: ATARI STe music contest (13 replies, posted in Collaborations)
I'm not sure what exactly do You mean, but there actually will be a compo "3 channels ST sound only" and it's called "YM2149 msx competition". Only some people use additional STe's possibilities. Most stays with ST. At least - last time was so. Hm. If I recall.
For STe we have 8-channels compo. It can be a chiptune of course but in 8ch MOD file. (You'd better test it finally with emulator, to avoid any sad surprices).
Greetz.

Hi.
There will be big Atari party "Silly Venture" this year (10-13 November).
Including music contest for the machine.
Maybe somebody would be interested (even with emulators, "Steem" probably).

Hi there.
Not exactly a collaboration but in a way...
_____________________________
BEEPER music compo (ZX Spectrum 48K chiptune).
You can use any editor and any engine (It can be BEEPOLA on PC). However the compo is for chiptunes, not for digital BEEPER music (we have some bad experiences with mixing it, from past years).
There can be anything on the screen while playin' music (title would be nice) except author's name.
However there must be a TXT file attached too, with title, author's name and the editor/engine used. Number of channels might be specified too.
You should send us the stuff in TAP file, with loader/player.
(In BEEPOLA: tools/compile song and some 40000 value can be put in).
There is no restriction about its lenght in time, however if it will be crap, we will fade it down at some point.
The music must work on ZX Specrum 48K (no huge stuff for 128K).
A compo-machine will be Timex Computer 2048 (don't worry about compatibility - everything will work).
Deadline is in 22 August 2011. Period. (Not the women's one).
Send Your stuff to:
yerzmyey AT interia.pl
If You don't get any confirmation from me, then it means I DIDN'T GET THE FILE, so RESEND it.
Byez,
Y

Topic: ZX Spectrum in Recording Studio = JM Jarre ;) (13 replies, posted in General Discussion)
Kinda effect of limitless boredom.
I realize that nobody listen to electronic music but maybe somebody might be interested in this from its technical side.
ZX Spectrum in recording studio = Jean Michel Jarre.
http://yerzmyey.i-demo.pl/Yerzmyey-Unkn
ectrum.mp3
The only instrument/sound-source and the only sequencer: ZX Spectrum 48K with AY-interface.
Recording-studio effect used: multitrack recording / filters / phasers / choruses / flangers / delays / echoes / reverbs / equalizers / compressors / limiters.
If anybody would be interested how it sounded in "raw" form, I uploaded to SendSpace several raw tracks' examples, without any effects added.
They were synchronized to the first click (being a closed hihat audible on bas.mp3 base sequence) that have been removed finally, when the synchronizing of all traxx was finished and the click was redundant.
http://www.sendspace.com/file/oriahd
And as I said, the only used instrument was ZX Spectrum computer.
Surely the same is possible with GameBoy, Atari XL or any other 8bit computers/consoles.
Ah well, still it's only kind of experiment. ![]()
