Well, not really. The only thing is slightly boosted bass. Nothing more.

By the way, since now - there are also available MOD files
http://ym-digital.i-demo.pl/ym_digital_MODs.zip
for owners Atari ST(e), Falcon 030, Amiga, PC etc.

IMPORTANT: You may encounter PROBLEMS with these MODs because they should work on their own editors!! The only player we found that plays them all, without problems, outside of original Atari ST(e) environment - is PC's WinAmp 5 actually.

For an 8-channels "Octopush" MOD on ATARI STe, there have been added a proper player for the machine.

For the rest of MODs, supposedly good ATARI players should be:

Well, finally - after some titanic war, I stood over the enemy's carrion, lookin' on the battlefield through the smoke.

I loaded the fuckin' 5.0. smile
Well, I must admit I would never learn how to use it. smile It's faaaaar too complicated. The old good 4.0 had only several windows and everything on the screen - I admit it looked like mess smile but everything was avalable with one click. And here everything is well-hidden. wink

Ah well, it was only my curiosity after all.

Btw Akira, what editor do You use on Amiga?

PS: I found some better 3.1 and testing it now.

Hi Trash,
well, I just thought the last OctaMED for A500 was 4.00. Of course I might be wrong.
Thx man.

Akira: OK then, let's go in this direction, but clearily it's a path of satan. I try to load Workbench 3.1 into emulator (A1200, kick 3.1). It stops with AmigaDOS displayed window and "1>" with cursor.
Then it's dead.
Through these 15 years I forgot how user-unfriendly Amigas are. Grrr.
Thanks for Your time dude.

OK, so it will not work on my 500+ but should work on emulator, I suspect?
And there I can see the same requester (with a kickstar 3.1).
Ah well. I was only curious. Don't bother.
Thx.

Always the same. program in Your links says:
"Can't open asl.library V38"
sad

Actually I have 4.0, but I wanted to take a look on other version, just for curiosity.

Also, the 4.0 has an ugly bug: saving MODs without fine-tunning on instruments.

Hi there.

Anyone can start these programs on his computer?
ftp://ftp.modland.com/pub/software/trac … v1.03c.lha
ftp://ftp.modland.com/pub/software/trac … 0v4.03.lha
ftp://ftp.modland.com/pub/software/trac … v5.00c.lha

I checked out all of them and no_one works.

Any ideas why?

That's strange.
Well, You WILL hear some strange noises while You press "MONITOR" before recording (to set a proper volume level)

on the right hand side, middle.
But when You press RECORD then, it should sound clear.
Supposedly Your sampler is broken.

Akira: I don't know how about Ctrix, but back in 1994 I was using Amiga itself (the only 16bit computer I had in that time). I bought a sampler interface (somebody mentioned it above, I suspect) and was recording samples on OctaMed, from my Yamaha keyz. Quality was very good however last times I found I can't use these sampls for instance on Atari XL and its pokey because they make distortions (unlike samples made on PC). Hm. Interesting.

Use CoolEdit Pro.

Convert sample into 8bit, mono, 16Khz (well, the last one - more/less. Depends what You need. I use 16Khz anyway). Don't forget about normalization (99%).

Save as "iff".

If the sample is short, then OctaMed willl load it without any problems.

If it's longer, then it will ask if load the sample as RAW. Press "Y".
You will find a short bug on the beginning of the sample then (from wrong file's header). Select it and CUT.
The sample is ready to use.

Have one for my A500 and one for Atari ST.
External doesn't save at all.
Internal (with the card) doesn't save on Amiga.

That's what I've been told.
