True. And even the sound will be better (almost NOT distorted).
On the other hand, however, sound from monitor output will be mono.

As for me - if I had 100% certainty that STe sends exactly the same sound to cinches and to monitor, then I would resign from stereo, for clean sound.

But still, as far as I know, not every STe has distorted sound.

Thx a lot guys! smile smile

Hi. If You mean the Atari STfm, then it has audio-output a little bit hidden (however very good because almost without distortions, in oposite to STe models).
You have to make a cable for RGB monitor. Separate for vision, separate for audio.
Because STfm's sound comes exactly from monitor output.

Hehe, only part of them is mine. smile
Some of them have been stolen too. wink

A bunch of news today.

For people who don't (doesn't?!?!) like POKEY sound and 4-bit lo-fi quality, or who doesn't like big MP3 files at all - there are the same tracks in PC/AMIGA format - in *.MOD files:
http://yerzmyey.i-demo.pl/xl_digital_MODs.zip
So if You prefer Amiga or PC sound, then go ahead and download the files. smile

If You have real Atari XL/XE hardware and would like to listen to the music from a real machine, there is a demo-program with all the songs:

Greetings,
Yerz

Well, I wanted to make a Draconus cover but finally I didn't find time for that.
I didn't wanted to delay the rest of guys, so I've just prepared all give music and F6 made a cover-art. And so it is. wink

But this is an EP - full album with (mostly) original songs should be this year. smile

Thx a lot dudez. wink

Hi, guys.

I know that MOD music isn't exactly the same what chiptunes are but if anybody likes the lo-fi format (and also the ATARI machines) - there is an EP album made especially for fans of Atari 800XL / 65XE (64Kb of RAM and one POKEY chip). However the music still can work on higher XL/XE configurations, including machines with HDD, 2 POKEYs and COVOX. The album contains 4-channels digital music. It was made with use of NeoTracker by EPI.

PS: The 'teaser' song of the album is here:

Still pretty chiptune sound, I think. And the MOD is only 43Kb big - like most of chiptunes. wink

Can I find any MODs/MP3s with it, on da Net?

Yo,

I use Amiga 500 1Mb since 1994, and one and the only OctaMED 4.0.
Through years I managed to collect another A500 1Mb and one A500+ (2Mb).

I make MODs resonably often.
In future I consider trying to synchronize 2 Amigas to make 8 channels music in a good quality.

PS: OctaMED can play 8 channels on one Amiga 500 but
- the quality is noticably worse
- still has only 4 volumes for 8 channels.

unless of course you have an ST and don't want to spend further coin wink

Or - going further - unless one has ST and likes using the machine. smile

Akira: I could upload more songs but it would spoil the album (not too long itself).
I can asure You about one thing - if I would play some of songs on the rave party, people wouldn't even notice it's not a dj but an old good humble ST with AY. smile
Anyway, all songs go at 16kHz which is really not bad quality. If You insist, I can upload one somewhere and put here an info, exclusively for this Forum.

But making sample-based composing on the ST is kind of pointless. Other machines do it better.

Akira, You know I love You like a brother smile but I cannot agree at all. smile
Actually I prepare a new music-project making digital music on YM chip (4 channels) called YM-DIGITAL (haha) and the album is near to be finished, heh. Will be published in 2 months or so. wink
I think people underestimate the YM's possibilities and I think it's a mistake. smile You will see. wink
OR - hear. Hahahaha. smile
