Hi,
nothing big this time - just a small example how to make "Berlin-school" (kind of trance electronic music from 70s) on a regular ZX Spectrum 48K with AY-interface.

Somehow it's required to push the 3 channels hard. wink

Yes, very good stuff (again wink ).

Hahah. smile

OK, let's check it out - July 7th, yes. I imagine You don't have to get attached too much for that date, supposedly, if You send it in 15th, it still will be OK - but it would be risky indeed.

Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dude, this is ASTONISHING WORK!!!!!!!!!
Thank You SOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!

Garvalf:
Drop me an e'mail, if required, with those questions; I have less time now for this kind of activity (or even at all, for anything) and I will try to help. I write something using the prog anyway, lately.
OK, see ya.

We will test it too, don't worry. smile

Ah, also interesting, indeed.

As for me, I actually used Amiga500 this time, hahaha.

And for the brave ones, we always have the NeoTracker itself (all version, thanks to Mono) -
http://atarionline.pl/v01/index.php?ct= … NeoTracker

I imagine, the most comfortable way of creating, for not necessarily Atari XL people, might be to fill some MOD file with samples, load into Atari XL, and continuing the process, from now on.

I dunno. Just thinkin' aloud.

OK, thx duuuudz.

I see, thanks.

Just in case, You could check out whether it IS the Atari XL installation of Neo 1.7, or isn't:
http://yerzmyey.i-demo.pl/NEO17INS.COM

It should be. Will work on emulators too, if You configure some HDD or probably a big ATR.
As for the sound, I suspect the only emulator with a proper digi-sound would be Altirra.
http://www.virtualdub.org/altirra.html

Thanks guys.

Pulse: as far as I know - it does.
I suspect here are some examples http://www.ftp.pigwa.net/stuff/collecti … usic/Mody/
It has slides (up and down) but they are very different from the Amiga ones, so if one uses Amiga, he shouldn't use them (many false tones).
Ah, and classical range of notes "C3 - B5" is required.

Here are some infos (sorry for the GoogleTranslate) -
https://translate.googleusercontent.com … eUraMfEydQ

I suppose it would be easier to make small MODs and send us, our coder promised he will convert them 100% properly (or even better than the Neo itself).

We organizing some small compo here and I try to gather some works from ppl who might be interested.

It will be a MOD contest for Atari 800XL / 65XE. It play MODs rather cool with 4-bit quality (under some conditions) so one can write MOD on anything - Amiga would be the safer - but the compo music will be played from the Atari X/XE, hehe.

Deadline would be 13.07.2015.
Address to send the MODs:

yerzmyey AT interia.pl

But there are some important infos:

Format -
- Amiga/ProTracker MOD (You know, PC mods play more octaves and it doesn't work later on Amiga nor Atari XL/XE).
- 4 channels,
- size of the file: up to 50Kb. No more (!!) because it will not fit in Atari XL memory (that is 64Kb of RAM).

Commands that have been ported into Atari XL (so we can use them) -
Cxx - volume
A0x - volume slide down (fade out)
Ax0 - volume slide up (fade in)
F0x - tempo
D00 - break pattern / goto next position

I would suggest to avoid the typical chiptune "very fast loops on tiny samples" phenomenon. There's no way to tell, how such a thing would behave outside of its environment (Amiga) and how it would actually work on 4-bit transducers (Pokey) played with 1,7Mhz CPU instead of PAULA chip, You know. smile

It is possible we might try to release some compilation of the sent music, later. Who knows.

Well, just a thought anyway. You know the e'mail address.

Byezzzzzz,
Yerz

Hehe, one day You have to come to Silly Venture party along with other guys from France, and we can sit among 20 beer-cans and I will try to explain the prog to You. wink
I have to admit I like the program very much. I use nothing more, for the Atari ST chiptunes, actually. It roxx. wink

Atari: like I mentioned before, I always appreciate digital music from Atari ST and Atari XL.
