Aw dang! I am not the first to make a savage engine tune tongue. Oh well, here's my try with it. http://chipmusic.org/jredd/music/star-feild-1-bit

Actually, I happen to have a Sega Saturn with a cartridge for extra ram that also allows you to play Japanese games in my possession once again! I was going to make my own topic in here asking if it would be alright to post some of my old songs here that I made using Deazamon 2. It is a game that lets you edit/create your own shmup, The music program was kind of like Mario Paint on steroids. At the time I made those songs, my Saturn couldn't save so we recorded the songs to VCR tape tongue. They were later recorded onto our computer and made into mp3's. I  even brought a CD of them to my high school once a long time ago but some kid borrowed the CD and never returned it....bastard. Anyway, Here's an example of one. I don't think this game uses the chip to it's fullest by any means but it's still bad ass smile.

T.M.N.T Tournament Fighters on NES had some bad ass music.  It's Konami on nes in 1993. So you know the music is going to be top notch!

T.N.M.T Tournament Fighters on the Genesis had some great music.

This was never made into a game but this track is what could have been. Behold, Follin on Genesis/Mega Drive!

And then, the amazing "Beyond Oasis"  The composer of the Streets of Rage series takes on orchestral music with the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive ....and this is just one brief example of how good it is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxCmEBjC … re=related

There are some real gems out there, this thread is great. big_smile

I think you have to log in to the Famitracker forums to grab the NSF but it's here.

Here's a re-mastered version. It's a little more quiet but I think it's more crisp and less heavily processed. Let me know what you think of this version. Also Thanks An-cat-max. If this version sounds better to you guys I'll probably put it up on 8bc next week. Thanks for the honest feedback Subway Sonicbeat , it helps smile.

Thanks guys. Subway Sonicbeat: I was mixing on earphones so I probably overdid it. I will try to get the NSF to you ASAP!

As I understand it, Video Game remixes are generally frowned upon as music submissions here. So It thought I'd give this it's own topic in this forum instead. I hope that's alright. If not, feel free to take it down (no hard feelings). I'm new here so I'm trying to do things right smile. However if it is alright to post this in the music section I'd be more than happy to share the NSF even though it doesn't do some of the pitch bends/vibrato correctly it still sounds decent. But this is the wav with some extra effects applied to it. Enjoy!

Ha, funny stuff guys smile. I'm just going to say that any site that helps to promote retro game/ computer music/art as a viable form of self expression is a-ok in my book. I look at this place as yet another means to share my music and listen to some new stuff myself. Browse around the forums and see what's going on in new developments for various things that I may be interested in smile. I admit that there are certain things about 8bc that don't appeal to me as much but it's more of a personal preference thing than it is a bashing issue. Also, I'd be more than happy to share more of my stuff minus the video game remixes/covers that I do occasionally. I read that you guys frown upon them here for the most part which is cool with me because I am more interested in original compositions anyhow. I figure no site is perfect for everybody, but it's cool to have other options floating around out there smile.  Thanks for the warm welcome everybody. big_smile

I just registered here and thought I'd say hello.

I've been uploading music to 8 bit collective for a while and found this place and thought I should join.

I'll start uploading material and commenting on the music here ASAP!

It's great to be among fellow chip musicians and enthusiasts.

Nice to meet you all smile.
