Yeah, I'm not too keen on banishing a guy to the neither realm of an angry nerd mob black hole. Like I said, the article has been corrected and the dude seems at least somewhat interested in certain types of chip music. If he wants to make amends and join with us I say that's fantastic, and if he doesn't and decides he wants to do things his own way with his own fan bass then we shouldn't let it dampen our joy. It's not the first or the last time some outsider is going to get things wrong about the chip community and quite frankly how we react is going to determine if people want to learn more or not. I think the question is what is our real goal at the end of the day? Is it to educate? Or isolate? I think it's safe to say we've done a bit of both, and while I think a majority of it was justified it does appear there has been a response and some correction. So, I too hope for a positive end but knowing the internet and how it works this guy is most likely going to be quite the meme for a good long while and I am not quite sure if he's the type of guy who can roll with the punches. Only time will tell I suppose smile.

I'm kind of tired of seeing this article posted everywhere to be honest. At first I was kind of annoyed, but the article has been edited a bit to reflect more accurate statements. Now that it's been taken care of, I think the best thing we can do is share just how much diversity there is in Sega Genesis chip music and band together to make it more widely known to the populace if ignorance and lack of research is the problem. If you hear a good track share it. I'd rather focus on how good Sega Genesis/Megadrive music can be than how annoying one guy acts. If he wants to make amends let him do it, if he doesn't drown him out with all the good Sega Genesis music that exists. That's my take on it. It's kind of sad that this dude is getting more attention than some of us because of how popular it is to hate someone on the internet for being a butt nugget.

Sounds good dude! I've been known to throw in some chip guitar into my stuff as well. Maybe this will help? https://soundcloud.com/jredd/hyper-boss … -166933007 Keep going with it, I think chip music always sounds cool with a bit of shredding in it big_smile.

I would like to have a multi chip tracker like Deflemask but it has controls and layout like VGM Music Maker. Additionally, I would like the ability to use multiple chip sets at the same time if I choose, and when I use samples in DAC or DCPM  or Wav channels or whatever channel for your sound chip of choice that takes samples, I'd like the ability to have a built in recorder like fast tracker II so that as soon as I get an idea to use a sample I don't have to use another program to record and break up my work flow. Lastly, I would also like this tracker work as a stand alone sample based tracker like mod plug with optional VST support. That way, I would never have to use another program for whatever I am in the mood to make. This, my dear friends would be my dream tracker smile.

I wouldn't quit chiptune over this, but it is good.

Seriously, this just inspires me to make more big_smile.

Awesome man big_smile

This is probably the most fun I've had making an album with someone since FM-Possible smile.

I don't really rap much but I make Sega Genesis Hiphop beats from time to time smile. Here is a few.

https://soundcloud.com/jredd/urban-chil … ster303mp3 This one is with Groovemaster303

Here's a solo tune but it may be a bit melody heavy to rap over. https://soundcloud.com/jredd/giga-snapmp3

This one here was a track that Groovemaster303, Dropbit and I made. Then, I took it and rapped some cheesy lyrics over it as a joke and it actually got more positive feedback than expected tongue. https://soundcloud.com/jredd/chip-hop-with-lyrics-mp3 Aside from this there are more chip hop beats including just loops I have that I never finished or posted. So, if my style suits your needs let me know man smile.

Edit: Let me add one more. Here's one with Chip Jazz musician Robugga! https://soundcloud.com/jredd/dream-drif … robuggamp3

Alright, I better stop before I post half of my soundcloud tongue.

Can it be a 16 bit Sega Genesis tune? If not I can dust off Famitracker and try to make something big_smile.

Fantastic album guys, I was glad to have been a small part of it smile.

Lazerbeat, naw this is done with VGM Music Maker as always wink. Bryface, well let's just say I pushed the Sega Genesis chip as much as I could for this release. There is also some minor mastering courtesy of cheapbeats/n00bstar. Thanks everybody for the nice comments and support smile. I very much appreciate it smile.

Thanks guys! Super pumped, and of course thank you cheapbeats!

I would suggest browsing around to see what different artists put up here dude. If it's here, chances are people don't mind if you use what they've already made if you ask for permission nicely. Even so, because you have no information on your game it's not very enticing tongue. Good luck though.
