All those points aside, there is nothing here to entice us to work for you for free. Granted the loop you want isn't even a minute long and in a way that isn't asking for all that much. Yet, at the same time there is no information about the game. No game play videos, no pictures, not even a paragraph of text to explain what the game is about. I'm sorry, but as artists we need some kind of setting or guidelines if you want to inspire anything good out of us. Also, upbeat chip tune? What kind of upbeat chip tune? What chip set are you looking to imitate? What style of music is your upbeat chip tune inspired by? For me, it's not so much that I am offended by being asked to create music for free when it's less than a minute long. I am turned off by how vague everything in your post is. The worst part is, you say you'll give us credit but you're not even sure how you'll do it? How about putting us in the credits?

If you want anyone to respond positively to you next time please at least tell us a bit more about your game. Inspire us with something, otherwise even if you do get something you'll have no idea if it will be what you want and that just creates further problems.

Please man, I'm trying to help you. Maybe your game is awesome, but if you give us nothing to go on we'll never know.

Extremely impressive sir. I'm going to share this with others, and listen to more of it myself when I the chance smile.

Yes, my old account still works. big_smile Just wanted to say that this is nice work! Bandcamp rocks, it's nice to have your music archived and in great quality. Some quick words on the material here: "Limitless", near the end you kick in a part which is weirdly awesome. Love the very end with the lonely synth going lower. "Beyond The Stars", very nostalgic. Nice guitar sound, beautiful breakdown. "Fire At Will", surprisingly beautiful and chill. Was expecting something aggressive with the title. Great track. "Blue Ska", the composition and playfulness... Haha. You really work wonders with breakdowns, I'm a fan of contrast and these are so fun. "Enchanted Forrest", well my favourite here. Just sublime, and the way it's all synthesized (if I remember right?) makes this one timeless.

Brilliant work. Wouldn't mind seeing more of your music uploaded on bandcamp. smile

Thank you Tomy! I am working on an album of some new things for a net label. I'll keep you guys posted on it's progress. So far I have 2 songs done wink.

Hi guys, some people have been asking me to go ahead and make an album and put it up on bandcamp and so I did!

Now, these are already on my soundcloud but I ripped wav files directly from VGMM so there is no loss in quality. Also, they are all free to download but there is an option to donate to me if you wish! Well, there you have it! Let me know how it sounds! if you'd like,  go ahead and spread it around smile. Thanks guys, and enjoy!

I'll pass that along to groove, maybe he can give me that picture and I can try some different fonts. Thanks for the input. Glad you like the music though as that is easily the most important thing for us. The album cover was just quickly thrown together by Groovemaster303 tongue.

Of course, I know. No one else would have said so though. Sorry to be the devil's advocate.

No worries, we did an overhaul smile. He gave me his picture and I redid the fonts and threw it all together with an ok color scheme and some filters. At least, we hope so smile. Now even the album cover itself is a collaboration. Thanks for the feedback, I took it into consideration and we redid the cover this way.

Let me know how it looks, I think it's an improvement smile. After all, if the album is more eye-catching perhaps more people will check it out so I think what you said was valid. Thanks smile.

Since no one cared to mention, the album photo is beautiful with that effect, but the fonts are ugly. I also had a hard time finding Jredd's name.
The music is good though. tongue

This is awesome! What is your exact set up? (I love the sega sound but I have no idea how to make tunes using a megadrive)

I use VGM Music Maker. It's a Sega Genesis tracker by Shiru. He took it off his website for some reason but if you want it I have it. PM me if you're interested. I'll hook ya up wink. Heck, maybe we'll do a collaboration ha ha ha.

Nice. The world needs more Sega chiptune.

Funny you should say that, more is what you shall have smile. The response to FM Micro was so good we decided to put out a "Turbo" version with a few more songs big_smile. It went from 3 to 10 songs. It's our way of saying thanks for the support big_smile.

Thanks Lazerbeat, also many thanks for pointing out the broken link defiantsystem. We give it our best, I also forgot to mention that our friend Tudd helped us with Run N Gun. Give him some love as well smile.

Hello everyone. Groovemaster303 and I have put together a nice little 10 song album for ya'll. It's free and it's pure Sega Genesis music .

If you don't think this was all done within the limitations of a Sega Genesis, well then I've got something to show you. How about a rom file with some proof! Grab it here! http://www59.zippyshare.com/v/14098584/file.html

MAJOR EDIT: Now, this originally was a 3 track EP but because the response to it has been so positive, we decided why not make it a full album. Behold, FM Micro Super Turbo Pocket Edition! Yep. You're welcome big_smile.

Freque is another one who took a chance with me and has some of my albums posted on his site over at noichan.

I think we can firmly say that between the sexual harassment and being an ass, Freque is an objectively bad person.

I didn't know about that sad. Sorry to hear that. What exactly did he do? To be fair I haven't really been active there for a long while.

Pretty much everyone is awesome, from the seasoned venetian to the new guy and everyone in between. I'm not just saying that either, as a whole the chiptune community is full of some of the coolest people. As for some people I've personally gotten to know rather well, I'd have to put Groovemaster303 up there as one of the most humble and helpful chip musician friends I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. Freque is another one who took a chance with me and has some of my albums posted on his site over at noichan. Even though I don't see as much activity there now, the fact remains that he is one of the most enthusiastic people I've ever met and seems to embrace all manner of chip styles smile. Dropbit, Robbuga, Toni Leys, CosmoBG, TechnoZealot, Circuit Bird, Weird Bannanas ect. All of you guys and many more who I've had the pleasure of collaborating with always teaches me something new about chip music and inspires me to better myself. Tulio Ariando along with TmEE and the rest of the team at Project Y for giving me a shot and allowing me to be part of such an amazing team of game developers at Watermelon Games. Also, I can't leave out Sigflup Synasloble for helping me put together a few Sega Genesis demos and combining our powers to enter cool contests like Datastorm smile. DJcutman for putting together fantastic chip mixes of various artists and promoting them with his fantastic show "This Week In Chiptune" Virt, for making the original VGmix where I was a young video game remixer and honed much of my musical ability and being an inspiring chip musician himself. Rushjet1, for showing up with his awesome NES music and inspiring me to become a chip musician myself because of his wonderful works. For those of you who actually decided to put me in your lists, I'm honored. Thank you. It makes me happy to know that my existence in the chip community is noticed and is generally regarded as a positive one smile. I feel that it's important to not just name drop, but explain why I drop those names if I am going to do it smile. Thanks for being awesome guys.

So, I've been telling people about this for quite a while but now here's some proof: Groovemaster303 and I are composing for a new Sega Genesis game code named "Project Y"! Here's a sample of some of the music. Check it out!
