It's a little disappointing but understandable smile. Do what you must to keep the site working. I'd rather feature a few of my best tracks than none at all smile. Besides, I figure after a couple of weeks of one set of songs I would imagine I could delete those and upload some new ones after a while so it's not as big a deal as it seems. As someone else pointed out there's Ucollective and Soundcloud for storage. It would be worth it to me to have a song up there longer so that everyone could get more feedback. Whatever happens, I'm just glad the upload music feature isn't completely gone.

Would I like to have another place with unlimited storage? Sure! Do I expect the nice people here to run themselves dirt poor just because I am prolific? Not really. Bottom line, I'd love it if it stays unlimited but if it has to change to keep the site manageable then so be it. I hope not of course..but we have options and the chance for more feedback here is a plus. So, I'll just wait and see what happens. Maybe it will move me to make another album and post it in the releases section tongue.

Hi, I'd love to help smile. A lot of my songs have a bit harder of a sound, but I am pretty versatile.

This has a nice adventure sound to it, it's a collaboration with Groovemaster303. http://soundcloud.com/jredd/onward

Here's a solo track which also might work. http://soundcloud.com/jredd/transcend Kind of a mystical track.

Aw heck, here's my soundcloud tongue. Feel free to use anything you like big_smile. http://soundcloud.com/jredd

Here's a fun EP smile. Fellow FM enthusiast Tomy and I have put together a 6 song FM only album. No samples, no psg. Just six channels of FM. 3 from each of us.

Enjoy!

This is inspiring man. Thank you for this album.

Well myself and Jredd have produced around 80-90 tracks together using VGM Music Maker over the last year and if i'm honest, It's an incredible program. i've had so much fun producing all kinds of music with it.

Anyway i'd like to personally thank Shiru for all these years of service supporting TFM and VGM-MM. TFM was great but VGM-MM was on another level. Thank you for creating something that allowed me to produce music similar to the sort that inspired me when growing up.

All the best for the future pal. Take the positives, ignore the critics, move on and don't look back.

Exactly smile. We love this tracker. We have no intention to stop using it. We have 3 albums out and are in the process of making even more. I keep digging more and more into this tracker and finding out more things to push out of it. In fact Groove and I are in the process of putting together a VGMM Collab album to get more people into the tracker. We love it that much. I am sorry that overall people have given you a negative response, but at least rest assured there are people out there who love this tracker and are using it all the time smile.

Here is some proof for you, and this is not counting the individual song releases:

And...

A remix of that album by Groove smile. http://www.noisechannel.org/8025

Oh and while I am at it, for anyone and I mean ANYONE who wants to learn how to use VGMM or contribute to a future "VGMM & Friends" album we are producing go here and join in on the fun big_smile.

We may only be a handful of people, but we are serious. For all of you who have unfinished songs, or tunes you'd like to put in an album with us we'd love it.  There you have it Shiru smile. You are always free to continue or discontinue any project you like and I have nothing but the highest respect for what you have accomplished with VGMM and other projects. If you want further proof that we are still making things, check us out on soundcloud Ha ha ha ha! Now if you'll excuse me, I think I have yet another song to tweak before release smile.

I know that much, but Disney is offering the thing for free anyway. It would've been nice to give a nod to the source material, but the thing is they aren't actually making profit off it if I understand it correctly. I don't think they have a case unless it's raking in the dough for Disney. Offering something for free means no profit, therefore no royalties. However, I am routing for them. If they can somehow make a big stink over this and get something out of it I say go for it.

It might be more of an issue if that app wasn't completely free to download. However, technically (and I could be wrong here) isn't this app free, and therefore making no profit?

Also as someone else pointed out, how else would you expect a Disney Pixel app to sound if you wanted it to sound happy and be "popular with kids today"? I do agree that a proper nod to the inspiration should be given at least with it being that close. It's just common courtesy. Still, this can be used to further Anamanaguchi's popularity. Think about it. "We are so well known that even Disney wants to sound like us, here's the proof." That's a pretty big name to throw around. Even so, as others have pointed out if they can prove a point and get Disney to settle? These guys might be set for life. Just sayin'. If we look at the bigger picture here, there is a chance this could unintentionally be the best thing to happen to them.

Let's just see what happens. Wouldn't it be hilarious if this thing backfired and Anamanguchi got rich? Next thing you know they are a "sellout" working for Disney and now everybody hates them. Oh internet, what a tangled web we weave.
