I would be willing to pay 20-30 for just the ROM. I rarely spend more than that on any games I buy, indie or not, so that's where I'm placing my bid and the reason why.

I bet its choking on all the extra midi data its sending. If you can filter it somehow (like remove clock, active sensing, other channel data.) it should work i wager.

That seems extremely likely. I also just don't have room for it anymore. I have just... so much gear now that a big metal box just won't fit in any bag I might want to drag to a gig

What's the issue with this and the Beatstep Pro?

Whenever I send MIDI data from the BSP to the FB-01, the FB-01 starts giving me "MIDI ERROR !!!" on the screen. Currently a bit hard to locate the issue since there's someone who goes by the name "MIDI ERROR !!!" on the renoise forums who made an FB-01 editor which kinda fucks google up

The ROM size will probably not grow over 32 kB. The type will then probably be 1B, MBC5+RAM+battery.

If it stays under 32kb it should be able to fit on nano1 extra bank, which would be a cool thing to have for sure

yeah but a second gba flash cart costs about the same as a nanoloop2 cart anyway hmm

tbh I should be able to rustle something up with a nanoloop 1.x demo on the original gb, and then can maybe just post it for other people to test.

Afaik as I know both nanoloop 1 and 2 use the same sync method, so if you can get it to work with nanoloop 1 it should work for nanoloop 2 as well. However I'm not sure if there would be any problems getting it to sync if your aiming to use GBA -> DMG because of the voltage difference. Sync should be 12 ppqn if I'm not mistaken. Oliver the creator of nanoloop is a super great guy and I'm sure that he could answer any potential questions you'd have about the nanoloop sync.

It is probably best to use 2 GBAs since nano1 works fine on GBA

Very awesome stuff! Is NL2 sync planned? I would love to mess around with it but I don't have a flash cart tongue

yes, nl2 sync is planned. he doesn't have the hardware to test it but that shouldn't be too much of a problem what with the community here and all

apparently, and I have been told the save function works for other people, the save function does not work on the Supercard SD

yup, normal GBC link cable is what I use. I need to get a frontlit GBC though, at the moment I'm occasionally able to run NL1 on my second GBA but it's pretty inconsistent

What you're looking for is pretty much nanoloop 3 (android/iOS) minus the tables and I think there's still limited pattern storage, but it has samples, waveform manipulation and 8 channels ... that's about it.
Personally my dream tracker is nanoloop2 + samples like I get with my beatstep pro or that sample-based tracker for GBA currently in the forums since I absolutely hate touchscreen controls for anything beyond swiping scrolling and text
