Hello,
I successfully installed m8 and audio config on my pi boy (raspberry pi inside a gameboy, raspi 3B+ I think).
The more important problem is to map the buttons on the pi boy. I wanted to use antimicro for that but for a reason that I don't understand I can't start m8 from x server. I can start it only from retropie command line, without launching any x server.
From the x server, which is LXDE (Pixel), if I open a terminal and try to launch m8c it does nothing. No errors,
it says that :
pi@retropie:~/code/m8c $ ./m8c
INFO: Looking for USB serial devices.
INFO: Found M8 in /dev/ttyACM1.
INFO: Opening port.
INFO: Enabling and resetting M8 display
INFO: Reset display
And I can see nothing...
If it's not under x server, then it works, m8c open. But then, antimicro don't work, it needs x server so I can't succeed to have both :-(
On site i saw that it couldn't work with dmg-04 because of the power. Only dmg-07 should work. Does it true? I cuted today also a dmg-04... I must stop it and buy a dmg-07?
It's seems that GB BOY COLOUR can't work with pcb nanoloop 1. A guy send me a private message saying that he bought 2 gb boy colour and pcb cartridge nanoloop 1 don't work with it too... So it can only work when it's a rom puted on a usb cartridge...
I think gb boy sux... the sound quality is horrible with my lsdj cartridge, well it can be ok but there is really a lot of noise... And nanoloop pcb don't work... the lighted screen is so good, much better than the one on the gameboy advance sp, but the other things sux... the gameboy color gamelink port is bad too, it work for sync but it goes out from the hole if I use it too long time.
Really not a good stuff for chiptune for me... gameboy advance sp is much better.
up
Nobody has an idea? Maybe it's because of the difference beetwin cv gate and sync (if there is one)? But if it work good with nanoloop it should work with lsdj too not?
Hi,
Have you ever tryed to sync the akai rhythm wolf to lsdj? Rhythm wolf have a cv gate in and out. I tryed it but LSDJ dont start in good time and it's very difficult to make it correctly. With nanoloop it works like a charm. And with LSDJ + monotribe it work like a charm too. Is there a way to make it work with akai rhythm wolf? I know i can do this : rhythm wolf --> monotribe --> LSDJ but I should prefer make it directly rhythm wolf to LSDJ...
Good eevening
Hi,
I bougth a GB USB cartridge for put LSDJ, on noiseandroid.com, but it still not arriving
Have you ever get problems with noiseandroid.com? It's says it's in transit since 22/12/2015 but from this date I don't have any news. Does it take long normally? (I'm in France).
Thank's
bitjacker, you mean that nanoloop 1.1 works on gb boy colour?
For the problem of speakers, for me it's audible only when the sound is loud. Put your headphones not on your head, the sound very loud, and if it's like me you will have the sound from the speakers and from de headers in same time. I got aussi the noise problem with rechargeables batteries. Maybe the batteries wasn't enough recharged. But with the sector adaptator, I don't get this noise. Or just really behind like in the dmg. When you put the sound loud you don't hear it.
Oh ok you don't have a real cartridge nanoloop... so we can't know if it do that for all GB BOY COLOURS or if it's only my. My maybe have a problem because the reaction of the speaker is different... I bought a GB usb 64M card. I will put lsdj on it and say here if it works. Maybe it can just not work with nanoloop. For you it's seems to run good with lsdj.
On the nanoloop cartridge you can put GB roms, like mgb or others. On the start, if you press start, you start nanoloop, if you press A, you start the rom puted on A. If you press B, you put the rom puted on B. But for that nanoloop should start. If not you can't load other roms. You need to have the rhomb logo. Maybe this guy use also a usb card, and i don't know why he spoke about nanoloop...
Ok thank's :-)
Hi,
I made this with dmg-01, gba sp, pocket operator 12, nintendo DSi, nintendo ds lite all connected with belkin jack splitter.
What do you think of it? It's made in live I changed nothing on computer after making it.

Good evening
Have you some news garvalf?
garvalf : "I should receive mine in a few days, I'll try it and I'll tell you!"
You will try with nanoloop? cool! Yes, tell me...
Yutikakushi : For me the sound is ok, but there is a strange thing, the speaker don't turn off when a headphone are in the jack. So the headphones and the speakder works together but it's not a problem for me. In the headphones the sound is ok.
Yea it's not a gameboy color it's GB BOY COLOUR. Does anyone tested nanoloop on it?
Hi, I just receive my GB BOY COLOUR. I have nanoloop 1... but it seems to don't work with it. It stay fixed on GB BOY start screen...
Someone succed to launch nanoloop on it?
