There's a thread like this on so many different forums, I'd thought I'd posted already. ^^; Anyway, here's Subterrestrial's Soundcloud page for completed tracks slated to appear on upcoming releases or works in progress.

SUPER WIN FTW!

Dub is an important part of the history and legacy of electronic music production and remixing! It has a lot of influence on my style of production. I'm envious of anyone who gets to attend a workshop with Mad Professor. ^_^

My sympathies to all you folks on the East Coast. Hang in there! We don't want things to get to the point where we have to be putting together a benefit compilation for you all.

You're only NSBM if you claim outright to not be racist while actually being racist.

Oh thank god...... I thought this was going to be one of those "I'm deleting my registration because...." type of threads that people post when they want attention.

Modular systems are expensive. Prohibitively so...but yes, they are also the real friggin' McCoy!

Satisfaction and a thirst to experiment. And also, more importantly, a want to write music that I would want to listen to over anything else that currently exists. I think without that pure love for your own music, I can't really see a reason to compose, especially in a small scene like chiptune.

I realize that parroting what someone else said sort of defeats the purpose of responding to a questions like this, but what Andrew said reflects the very sentiment I hold. I am nothing but pleased if other people enjoy my music, but I have to satisfy myself first and if I'm at least satisfied with it, then my number one goal is accomplished.

Not everything I do is chipmusic, but when I do it I strive to do something that sounds like the kind of music from games I grew up playing in the '80s in arcades and on consoles at home. Usually rock, but I am definitely interested in doing the occasional lounge/exotica sounding piece, like the track I have on the upcoming "Chiptunes in Nice Places" compilation.

The music for it's own sake always comes first, but the inspiration varies. Sometimes I'll try to do something for a compilation. Sometimes I'll be inspired by a place or an idea. Sometimes an instrument or a sound will inspire me to create something from it or around it.

Thanks for the hands-on review. I hope to lay hands on one myself at some point.

That is a really cool presentation!

Guys guys guys, I was only making a joke about how "oh noes, 8bc is down!" threads get locked here Cheezus K Reist! It's not like it isn't true and it doesn't need to be blown out of proportion either. It's obviously a bigger issue for some people than I realized, but let's all settle down and take a deep breath....

Thanks for the link!

As a huge fanatic of both fighting games and Dreamcast I call EPIC WIN FTW!!!! And I'm not even getting into the Neo Geo with the Metal Slug paint job. That's enough jeans-creaming for me for one night.

AFAIK yes. 8bc is down at the moment so I can't check the thread but, I believe he was waiting until he had a sizable amount of submissions.
