Your demos not working are also probably because you have an NTSC machine.

A chart based on likes doesn't necessarily get you the best song, it gets you the song by the person who is able to convince the most of their mates to press "like" on it
Definitely, I Agree with this a lot. It means fuck all.
Just have a group of members grant tracks to be on "the chipmusic.org playlist". This is an effective way to find good enough quality and filter out most of the crap, without making it all too serious/competetive. The threshold to be on the playlist shouldn't be enormously high.
But most people will not agree regarding these people's choices. even if more lenient, it will become like the QFS and next we know we have a Dissed By Chipmusic.Org compilation
Also, it means a LOT of work from the people who have to select the stuff, depending on how restricted uploads are and number of users. It is possible that a future might make it almost impossible to keep sane track of.
I would , as well, opt for a one track PER MONTH rule. It would automatically threshold people's eagerness to upload any shit they came up with. It's a pre-emptive filter. If you are not allowed to upload much stuff, you will try to choose your best to get there.

For those without Google, or not knowing what a MOD is (:P), here's a link to a bunch of his music:

You will need a MOD player, but they won't sound as nice as a native Amiga MOD player.

Re: NTRQ - Native NES Tracker by Neil Baldwin (373 replies, posted in Nintendo Consoles)
I would love to but I (currently) wouldn't know where to even start.
A mad idea I was thinking of (and I don't even know if such a thing exists or is possible) would be an optical CV-to-MIDI gadget that you could point at a particular area of the screen and I would flash a small white square on screen in time with the refresh rate of the song. Then these pulses could be turned into MIDI clock (with some smoothing) and so NTRQ would be MIDI master clock to your slave devices.
That's probably insane I know
Yes my man, that is fucking insane! Haha
Welcome here by the way.
My suggestion for MIDI sync, if we only want MIDI clock sync and none other fancy MIDI stuff, is that your software could listen (and maybe send) pulses through a joystick port. I guess it should be really easy to implement an interface that would convert this pulse data (isn't DIN sync like that?) onto MIDI clock and viceversa.
Keep up the great work.

Re: Amiga/C64, you need help? (131 replies, posted in Commodore Computers)
Well people are not willing to write the support for it because MIDI is not necessary for demoscene productions.
This device works with MIDISLAVE and it's cheap. I think I'm gonna buy it if the specifications are correct. Thanks a lot man!
[edit] Hmm... after further inspection, I don't think this solution has the control I want... I would depend on creating the patches on the C64 all the time and I don't want that.

Topic: Unknown artists that are cool (93 replies, posted in General Discussion)
I thought it would be cool to have a list of artists that people usually don't check because they are new or just badly promoted/showcased/spread.
A link to the artist's page, myspace or anything where we can hear the music should be provided.
Let's get started, I wanna hear new good stuff, like this guy:
