i understand the device is only to sync the gameboy to say a sequncer from the computer so it plays intime with daw, but a midi input usb device or a buyable non diy midi in device for the gameboy is what im really looking for,

Why not make an Arduinoboy then?

Sequencer is multitimbral, Bassline isn't, Mono isn't.

Hey guys,

I'm looking to sell the A500 I have. I am not going to use it and I need the space and the money hmm

This PAL A500 is in OK cosmetic condition, I say fair because it has some yellowing. I would do the retr0bright treatment to it if I had the time or will but this will have to be the new owner's duty. Other than that, it's fine.

The machine has a total of 2MB of RAM, configured as 512KB of Chip RAM and 1.5MB of Fast (slow) RAM, by means of an AMRAM device which has a piggyback to the Gary chip. No other upgrade has been done to the machine, it is still a Kickstart 1.3 unit. This AMRAM unit has a disable chip, but it has no RTC.

Be aware that software like ProTracker can only use for samples whatever you have available as Chip RAM, no matter how much other Fast or Slow RAM you have. So even if this one is a bit limited, the masters of Amiga of early ages used this much or less anyway tongue The extra RAM is good for games and other applications.

It comes in its white Commodore box, which is tatty but it has all the foam inserts. It also is packed with its power supply (220V), too.

It has an A520 RF modulator BUT I have made a mistake when trying to convert it to SVideo so it's not working. I snapped off a resistance I shouldn't have. The resistance is present but needs to be soldered back to its place as well as the conversion needs to be finished (here you can read how to do it).
I personally use an RGB-SCART cable to connect all my Amigas to my HDTV but I will include this in case you want to repair it, it's the unit of this machine after all. I feel like an idiot for breaking it hmm

To sweeten the deal up for chipmusic.org users, I'll throw in a sampler (Master Sound) and a mouse which some times has problems with the left mouse button. Better than having no mouse at all, and believe me you will need the mouse and the sampler is fun. The only drawback to the sampler is that it has a BNC connector so you will need an adapter for RCA or else..

Finally, I will throw a diskette with it. If you want a particular tracker that will run on this machine (don't go asking me for MusicLine or AHX) and if my A1200's disk drive decides to work, I'll be happy to copy it to disk to get you started. Otherwise it will just be a magazine coverdisk with some game demos like what the machine is running here:

Unit is in London, United Kingdom. Shipping varies, I would prefer UK shipping but let me know if you are abroad and you wanna cough up whatever it costs to ship it to where you are. Probably not worth it though so keep that in mind, this is a heavy package.

Due to the large size of the box, I will only wrap it in protective paper and plastic to ship it, the Amiga is padded enough to transport but I don't want to waste time finding a box bigger than the Amiga's to fit it all in.

I'm looking for 35GBP + shipping for this (or best offer)
Perhaps I wanna swap for something but I don't really know, space and cash are tight at the moment.

Thank you for your attention!

Y si me pongo las picudas me llevan antes?
xD

Solo una vez al año? Buuu ;_;

My computer doesn't even have a ground pin. Does yours have one? Japanese plugs are like american. Perhaps that is why it hums.
I get all sorts of frigging hum now, this didn't happen in Argentina. I think these british houses are cabled like absolute ass.

As a commercial streaming radio service, I assume that you are not covered by OCILLA, in which case you are already seriously breaking the law if you are broadcasting any CC BY-NC-ND licensed works without explicit permission.

I've passed this on to our content director that handles the Chiptune stream to make sure that any works marked as such are not considered for airtime.

No more chiptune station.. tongue

Is there anywhere we could see a playlist of what plays?

Thank you for all this testing, Oliver.
At least now I am pretty sure my issue is NOT normal and there's a problem here somewhere, probably in the software I am using. I will test more myself.

So Oliver...if my nanoloop is running slower than the MTC...do I need to do something regarding throttling??...To reiterate..it ain't useable as it is!

Are you using any type of plugin to process the audio? I ran into plugin delay compensation-created issues while testing mGB, perhaps this is something you should check. Specially see if you have any mastering plugins active...

Could it be because it's under Windows 7?
I just tried the device on a Windows XP machine, of much lower spec, and the son of a bitch worked better!

NLMIDI is the only device connected to the USB port.

I've got to sort out what the hell is going on here...
Thanks for all this testing, Oliver.
I will now retreat to my cave and not come out until this thing works.

OK I set it to 36 and 50... The same "drunkedness" is there, nothing changes. Evidently, the adapter is not coping with MIDI as good as Arduinoboy and it is not usable with mGB.

For further reference, I'll repeat what has been posted here.

This is my Ableton project running in mGB:

And this is my Ableton project running with NLMIDI:

If you tried my project and you heard no difference, could it be that my device is faulty? Because this doesn't make any sense.

If it didn't say "set to MIDI mode" and hangs instead of returning to the console, it did not work.

Well, that's what it said. So, it didn;t work.

[edit][ tried again, and now it said it was set permanently. Let me try this bad boy.

As I said in that thread, it has nothing to do with the release being free or how many.

You can get royalties for radio/internet plays, and performance rights, be it that you play your own songs, or someone else does.

The blanket fees the broadcasters (etc.) pay grant them the right to play the entire repertoire of these associations as much as they want during an agreed period of time. Paying the blanket fee doesn't give the broadcaster any right to play songs that are not covered by it. If they play your music without you explicitly giving them the right to do so, they have to pay you individually.

Totally understood your point now.
I guess I can't wrap my head around this yet since I am used to SADAIC just taking the money even if I am not signed up with them. The association I was looking to join now, even goes to the extent of going to the argentine association and tell them to surrender the money that is mine. Quite unheard of.

A lot of countries in the world are not as organized about these matters as USA, Sweden or Japan, unfortunately.
