Totally agree, the place need to have a front page with newest posts, and newest songs. I don't care if they get sorted by rank or whatever, just as long as it's out there. Because, honestly, I actually have the "recently active topics" as my bookmark to this site, and I miss literally everything else if it doesn't show up there.

A few things with this: this is most certainly not real SNES HW. It's a hardware emulation. One thing to note is that Yobo's NES and SNES clones are known for having fairly poor sound reproduction.
Other than that, I have no idea what kind of memory mapping / cartridge support it has.

Didn't you receive mine yesterday?
I did. After I made the bump..
Thanks!
Oh, and we don't have art yet. Any takers? I contacted a few people, who I think didn't want to make art/didn't pay attention.

OK, lemme put it this way: "it should work" means "it will work unless your cart is royally and truly f-ed up beyond usability." Which some people report as happening to their EMS carts. Go for it.

No, both banks *should* just use the same SRAM, assuming the two versions of LSDJ are identical. Normally, if two different ROMs are competing for the SRAM they will either initialize the SRAM as being "unformatted" or just clobber the other program's data. LSDJ should not do that.

OK, I did a quick search on that Music Board thing and it doesn't look like it plays back live. You have to write all the notes in and then play them back. Kinda limiting. Still, a live playback would likely be possible with a little assembly.
pr0n- that converter will not be helpful in this situation.

Re: LSDJ Keytar (4 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
Ok, lemme try and answer some questions:
Yes, with careful soldering, you can relocate just about anything on that PCB. You can. It'll be fine.
For wiring the DMG buttons/contacts onto the keyboard, be careful. Most keyboards have plastic membranes inside which will be literally impossible to solder to- the plastic will melt at far lower temps than the solder. So what you'd need to do is map out the keyboards matrix for both the top membrane layer and the bottom one. Then, you'll know what pins connect to what keys. Of course, you'll have to isolate the signals some way- something tells me the DMG and the keyboard's motherboard won't play nicely together if you don't.
Removing the DMG speaker has no adverse effect.
You may wire all the DMG's ground connections to the keyboard's ground plane if you want, but it's not strictly necessary IMO.
Adding extra outputs to your DMG will not adversely effect it unless you decide to connect all three of them up to something simultaneously. I that case I'd be worried.

Well, the KB is just another controller. It's fairly well documented, but not too many games use it.
It's possible, if you were to bribe a developer or two and/or provide them with hardware, that support might get written in to future software releases. Don't hold your breath though.

Well, I predict the owners will probably survive a second year without becoming crazed, unstable, or megalomaniacs. Unlike a certain other chip-forum proprietor. Long live CM.O!

Cats make me sneeze. Except for online, then they don't make me sneeze. I still don't like cats enough to want my own, but I occasionally like to play with someone else's cat. Like Low-gain's cat.
