Good news- I got my tools back! I had accidentally left 'em at home over spring break. Now to find the money for some parts and I can build my prototype! I have already got my donor cartridge ripped open and being analysed on my desk, and I'm doing the SRAM pinout check right now. My current battery looks OK for the moment, but it'll need to be replaced before too long. Oh, and I have removed the original chips which contained the crappy game (Al Unser Turbo Racing) so I'm ready to clean that up so I can get my socket-daughterboard installed at some point.

Well, now to find some R&D cash...
*digs through couch*
*finds a nickel, a dime, and 3 pennies*
"Well, this could take a while..."

I thought I saw that feature in the manual...

Huh... I am little dissapoint. neutral
I guess I was kinda expecting something more hard hitting, like Sassy Wisdom, but we can't have it all. Smashing work with the NES though, keep it up. I'll probably come to enjoy it more anther night.

Oh nice! OxygenStar releases are nearly always quite fantastic, so I'm downloading some now!

Need parts? Hahaha! I got loads of HDD's, floppy drives, CD, PCI and ISA cards, old VGA cards, soundblasters, PSUs, cases, mobos, memory, etc. I think I even have some SCSI stuff, including an internal SCSI ZIP drive bay.

OH and loads of PS2 mice and kbs. Loads of em.

Y... You have... TWO Vectrex! I wish I had even ONE... *sobbing*

Lol @ $180, I know you got most of the parts new but then again I have shelves full of this stuff laying around at home that I got for nothing, so it seems slightly silly. If the buyer is in MN and needs a VGA monitor and doesn't want to ship I have several. smile

i might bring friends so i dont feel alone. ill be in the little group of 15-17yo. lol.

No prob, it'll be great to finally meet some of the younger MN chiptune crowd who aren't normally at liberty to come to events and such. It's a good bunch and all.

Looking forward to the ambient performance very much.

Well, if it's so easy I'll let my customers put labels on. smile

Unless he does the label for ya, I won't be doing labels. Sorry, I just don't have the equipment.

Err, that should be CopyNES plus simple NTRQ= cheaper than powerpak. My bad, I had 16 pages to write and two tests today. I'm getting a little fried in the head. smile

Oh, and if you had a powerpak you could use a very simple NTRQ with a single SRAM bank and it'd still be cheaper than a PowerPak. smile

Yeah, this is the hard-copy solution, with some improvements. I'm thinking that as long as I'm going to swap the SRAM it might as well be replaced with nvSRAM so that no battery need be used. They're generally good for 20+ years at least, usually quite a bit more depending on how heavily used they are.
