I don't think there's a general rule, else they wouldn't have to bother with furigana. IIRC, compound kanji are mostly ready onyomi, while single ones are read kunyomi.
Japanese writing really keeps me from learning the language, I'm no good with memorizing stuff like that.
furigana is my best friend.

I hardly understand the written language of Japanese. I only learned to speak it (not fluent). I am back into studying it though.

anytime I hear a genre of music with "core" tacked on the end of it.... I cringe.

Rei Yano wrote:also how would one turn a song made in mod2psg2 into a wav file?
Here is how I do it (probably an easier way to do it but I've never known any better):
Make sure you save your file from mod2psg2 as a .vgm file first. Then proceed to download Winamp.
Once you've downloaded and installed Winamp download this plugin which enables .vgm playback in Winamp (can't remember exactly how I installed the plugin but I think there is a plugin folder in the Winamp directory on the C drive)
Once you've done all that, add your desired .vgm file to the library on Winamp and right click it>send to>format converter>convert to desired format.
Hope that helps!
you were most helpful. thanks again.

have a problem with one of my submissions. it is in nothing but japanese characters so I guess those do not create any english characters in the url which makes it redirect to my music page. could you guys delete that song or something so I can resubmit in romaji instead?

I think it is important to know if you would discourage the use of effects or post production. would you appreciate something more raw? I would at least imagine that the use of effects should be kept to a minimum but like lets say a little reverb and EQ?
ALSO: deadline is 17th at midnight? what time zone? I have a feeling I will need every minute.

I totally want a new one because the one I got has this sort of hiss (which I actually like but I also want a clean one) and I thought I heard scienceguy say he got rid of the hiss.
