Man, I cannot say enough about this album. I especially love "Speaker, Speaker," the title track, and "Romantisme de la Souffrance." Definitely my favorite release of the year so far.

Definitely gonna buy this once I get some money. :3

I actually liked it, regardless of the fact that everyone's done this. It was executed and produced really well.

The 1/8 to 1/4 splitter cables do just that: they split the left and right stereo channels from the stereo 1/8 (headphone) output on the DMG. No prosound mod required.

30:45 to be specific. Still love this thing, though. :3

Fun.  Somehow Soundcloud became convinced immediately after upload that my 100% original content is infringing on copyright somehow.

There's a bit around 30:00 that sounds almost exactly like The Imperial March from Star Wars. That's probably what soundcloud picked up on. You clearly didn't steal it, but automated copyright algorithm systems can get confused easily, I guess?

It's easy to just go "Who cares, I just want to know if they're a good artist or not" and think you're being smart, when in fact you're missing out a lot of issues and over simplifying.

I completely disagree. Gender/sex issues are important, but I've always just viewed the person creating the music I listen to as a musician, genderless and sort of removed from me. Gender, sexuality, race, etc. are interesting but unimportant to me when it comes to artists. I totally understand trying to find other female artists, but saying that ignoring personal attributes when enjoying art is "missing out a lot of issues" is, in my opinion, applying too much importance to the same stereotypes and classifications you are (might be?) trying to move away from.

Anyway. I think that's what it is. Curiosity. We as humans like to know something about the people around us. I think what you're saying about a tghread listing gay artists is the same thing as "that may or may not want to be associated with being female..." That is, stigma and prejudice. That's why people stay in proverbial closets. The gay closet, but on the internet often also the girl closet. People are afraid that other people will look down on them for being [attribute x]. In a world without the need for closets, this wouldn't be a concern.
I don't know which way a list like this affects things, but as long as it's genuine curiosity and in a positive spirit, I don't necessarily see the problem.

Similarly, I disagree with this personally. I'm not afraid people will find out I'm not straight, nor am I afraid people will find out that I'm a guy (and all the potentially negative stigmatisms that come with both labels). I can see that others in less open-minded communities would be afraid, but I really don't see the importance of gender, sexuality, etc. beyond pure curiosity, and even then those attributes can be detrimental to or fundamentally shift someone's enjoyment of a work.

I don't have an iPhone, but from the description, it looks like it's an HTML5 Gameboy emulator for iPhone 5. Lucky bastards.

Also, visiting this page on your iPhone after loading roms onto your Google Drive allows you to sign in and play them or something. Again, I don't have an iPhone, so I wouldn't know.

Oh yeah, that's been the majority of my experience, too. As I said, the few negative encounters I had were isolated. I guess it's a bad example. I do agree that most people are nice as hell to new people in person, especially if they're not assholes, no-it-alls, or egregiously awkward. Those are just standard social problems no one puts up with (except for the last, which a few nice people look around).

There is quite a bit of that, the internet is a brilliant mask

Part of the reason why i'm afraid of going to shows.

If you went to a show, I doubt anyone would be mean to you unless you gave them a reason. Also, when you've (through no fault of your own or otherwise) made a bad name for yourself online, I wouldn't introduce yourself by your internet/artist alias. Just saying. Other than that, taking the initiative to talk to people at chip shows (or even look up "famous" people or people you want to talk to beforehand /stalker style) helps immensely. Established scene members tend to stick with their friends in the scene, but that's not really a bad thing unless they act stuck up, and wiz and I just talked about how, by and large, most people aren't like that.

Sounds like the sister is voiced by Tara Strong. Kind of an interesting concept.
