Re: Guitar for ChipTunes (18 replies, posted in Audio Production)
It can be tough. If you are mixing with NES or Gameboy, the pure square waves cut through everything!! They will cut right through the guitar in the mix... So it can be deceiving sometimes. Its good to reference the mix on good speakers, crappy speakers, then headphones too.. But I guess that can be said about any recording.

Do people even use DOS on a regular basis anymore?
I actually use my DOS machines as much as I use my modern windows machines . As for making music these days though, I tend to use DOS more.....

I've been using this for awhile, and thought to post about it for those who have not heard about it. Its great for dos users!! It can play wav files, cds, mp3s, and even flac files !!! Works flawlessly with the Sound Blaster 16 card.

Whenever you upload a song to that site it goes directly to Timberland's desktop. Then he "samples" it and makes it a "hit."

Apogee make great stuff.. I knew someone that had the Apogee duo, and it worked out. So i imagine this is the same thing just with only one input... If I was running a mac, I would most likely be using all apogee products...

10k
I don't think performances need to have someone physically playing music on an instrument to be classified as good.
well actually that was I was getting at though.. I guess I should have specified but didnt want to sound like a dummie face.... I wanted to gain some knowledge of others who play instruments live with their music, or sing, etc. Preferably, in this genre. I just really want to see more of that these days.
