Oh - i have like two or three of those DMG-04's - they look like they only have 4 pins in there though... (same as the crappy ones on the LSDJMC2) do they all look like that? I mean: they all look like they have 4 pins but only the DMG-04 actually sends the 5v?

Ok - so i figured out how to do it - but i realized that the reason my LSDJMC2 doesn't have internal power is because of these crappy linker cables that don't carry the 5v. Can someone direct me towards some linker cables that do carry the 5v - i'm going to swap out those cables and then send the 5v to the emmitter solder point for the 7805 transistor.

Was wondering if this is possible. I see that there's a 7805 stepping down the ac adaptor from 7-12v to 5v for the PIC IC. is it possible to bypass the 7805 and to take the 5v from the linker cable pin? I saw some arduinoboys that were like this and I wanted to mod my lsdjmc2 to be ac adaptor-less. seems possible with like one wire. perhaps the gameboy's amperage is not high enough? I see that the 7805 gives off 1amp. How many milliamps does the linker port crap out? anyone know about this junk?

so - let me get this right - you're using the sample channel's DAC - loading ultra small samples in and getting some wavetable synthesis going on it? -pretty fucking rad! does this mean you still have a half channel left or can you run 2 wavetables at the same time out of one channel? like polyphony ala nanoloop 1.5's extra square. 1bit trix like beepola or atari pulsewidth modulation?

Topic: 8static Now Accepting Demos 4 Open Mic (4 replies, posted in General Discussion)
Attention Programmers and Demosceners: 8static is now accepting Demos to be played during Open Mic (they will be played LARGE and LOUD!). Please come before the workshop to sign up. Make sure your demo outputs in RGB, Composite, VGA or HDMI. Please make sure the sound outputs separately through either a stereo headphone jack or left and right RCA's. Demos do not need to be 100% retro and do not have to be played off of real chip hardware. Can't wait to see you there!

ah - i screwed up - the pot is actually a 103
...stupidly, i was looking at the dimmer pot
at any rate - so i think the vol pot is a 10k micro potentiometer (which makes a lot more sense)
actually took nitro's advice and took one off of a shit blob top GB and transplanted it back onto my good one - only time will tell how long this one will last - workin good so far though...

ok - I think I really found the part this time. this one is 50k not 30k, but I don't think it should matter. kitch - stock them?
obsolete part though maybe there is a replacement?

do you think a pot from a gb color or pocket would work?
