Well, if you wanna get even more anus, Anders:

People could easily say the original Amiga was developed by Amiga Corporation (which it was), until it was bought by Commodore.

So looking at it from that perspective, one can easily say "Amiga & Commodore" works. ;D

Also, you would think "Commodore Hardware" or "Commodore Computers" would work just fine. I don't see why people would know the difference between old Nintendo machines but yet not Commodore machines?

What, simply because Nintendo is still around? Doesn't make sense at all.

Are people suggesting people are mentally handicap when it comes to Commodore or something? You would think it'd be the other way around. xD ahah

Also: this thread should have been made in the "Bugs and Requests" section, if not moved there by now, if one wants to get even more "anus". :D

Hasn't that always been the main thing to do since the late 20th century?

Nice. I've heard of Ardour, but never tried it before. I probably should check it out. All the more since I'm now OS X myself as well.

However, I'm currently doing the mastering on the old tower machine with.... dare I say: Vista -_- (i got it for real cheap/bargain... around 250, but really spec'd out).

I'm running Wavelab and this VST bundle to which I forget the name of. Found it off a torrent so. :p and I got a pair of HS80 Yamaha monitors running via a MOTU 828MKII.

Although it's a bit complicated at the moment, since I'm currently mastering with some Sony old headphones (which is not recommended at all, of course. A big no-no.) and having to then transfer it to the mac, which is the machine hooked up to the 828/HS80s and then finally listening to it once more to see if the tracks sound more or less "ok".... it's a mess to say the least. haha. Space is kinda tight at the moment and I work with whatever I can at the time.

Probably an Ardour set up would probably save me the headaches and would ultimately prove to be more efficient for me, but I'm quite comfortable with Wavelab at the moment... and unfortunately they haven't release the OS X version yet....  and  I don't want launch bootcamp to run just one piece of software.

Gonna check out those headphones, I've heard good thing about them.

Anyway, thx for the reply, was curious.

What are you using to master, Goatslacker? I'm currently learning how to master tracks myself.

Announcing R.G. 2.0 compilation.

This time around it will be submission based and completely unique to the release (to avoid Dubmood rants d|-_o|b ).

Just drop 'em in the soundcloud box or send us a download link via the contact page:

http://trebledeathsystem.com/contact

Only a handful will be chosen.

Keep in mind as the submissions come in they will start shaping the compilation as a whole.... and simply because of that, your track may be rejected due to not fitting in with the overall majority of the release, regardless of how AWESOME it is or not.

That's just how I believe compilations should sound... not just random tracks put together. While it's nice and "cute", as some commodity of the sort, to listen to tunes based on certain limits/specifications and whatnot etc. etc. etc. etc. However, in the long run, when they simply don't go together or compliment one another, I simply don't believe they're worth anyone's time... not mine at least. I could care less if it's a "never been done before compilation" or if it's based on a year off the Mayan calendar.  Say what?

BTW, this is NOT a purist release.

Meaning: if you do anything non-chip, then it is more than welcomed, as long as it's "electronic music" based. Yes, we do tend to lean towards a harsher sound, but that does not dictate on what will be accepted.

Deadline: There is no set deadline date. Basically when we are able to compile a good handful of tracks that work together, it will then be released. But the sooner the better. Preferably in the next coming months.

kbaithx.

Locking up? You mean freezing or crashing or something? What OS version you got? Should work excellent on a mac. What apple model you got?

Which firefox version were you using?

Yeah, but I'm being realistic here. No one likes IE... and very little use... "Opera"... whatever that is. ;D

I can also confirm this scroll bar shiznay, seems to be a webkit issue in the CSS.

Yeah, and wut. I like viewing my 24 incher in such a resolution.  wink

Anyway, most sites should be able to be viewed at such resolution. Fairly average.

It's a CSS issue and since I'm in a good mood (and pretty anal) here's the fix:

before:

#forum_welcome {
    width: 68.5em;
    font-size: 1.4em;
    line-height:1.9em;
    padding: 2em 4em;
    border: 1px solid #111;
    background:#111 url(/forums/style/Default/images/default_userpic.gif);
    color: #fff;
    border-radius: 4px;
    margin-bottom: 1em;
    -webkit-border-radius: 10px;
    -moz-border-radius: 10px;
}

after:

#forum_welcome {
   padding: 2em 2em 2em 2em;
   font-size: 1.4em;
   line-height:1.9em;
   border: 1px solid #111;
   background:#111 url(/forums/style/Default/images/default_userpic.gif);     color: #fff;
   border-radius: 4px;
   -webkit-border-radius: 10px;
   -moz-border-radius: 10px;
   margin: 0 200px 1em 0;
   display:block;
   position:relative;
   }

removes width, changes padding, changes margin and adds: display:block;
   position:relative; etc etc

Next:

before:

#forum_welcome a {
    display: block;
    background: #c6076c;
    border: none;
    width: 12.3em;
    text-transform:uppercase;
    text-decoration:none;
    border-radius: 2px;
    -webkit-border-radius: 2px;
    -moz-border-radius: 2px;
    padding:.5em 0 .5em 3em;
    margin: 0;
    color: #fff;
    font-family:sans-serif;
    font-size:.8em;
    font-weight:bold;
    cursor:pointer;
    margin-top: 2em;
    margin-left: 35em;
}

after:

#forum_welcome a {
    display: block;
    background: #c6076c;
    border: none;
    width: 12.3em;
    text-transform:uppercase;
    text-decoration:none;
    border-radius: 2px;
    -webkit-border-radius: 2px;
    -moz-border-radius: 2px;
    padding:.5em 0 .5em 3em;
    color: #fff;
    font-family:sans-serif;
    font-size:.8em;
    font-weight:bold;
    cursor:pointer;
    margin-top: 2em;
    margin:auto;
}

Removing both the margin:0 and the very poor attempt at centering with margin-left:35em; In turn placing margin: auto to replace both and thus centers exactly, rather than half ass big_smile

Also, I'd null out:

  padding-left: 4em;
  padding-right: 4em;

from:

#forum_welcome p {
    margin-bottom: 1em;
    padding-left: 4em;
    padding-right: 4em;
}

leaving simply:

#forum_welcome p {
margin-bottom: 1em;
}

Simply for aesthetic reasons... to each their own, I guess.

Tested in Safari and Firefox... and if it works in Safari it more than likely works in Chrome.

Other browsers do not exist in my mind.

Should look like this now in a 1024x768 screen, after fix, of course:

Tada. That bit should now be 100% fluid, I believe, rather than fix width.

Ok, I think that should do it.

Cheers m8! xD

My compliments to the designers of the site. Sleek, yet simple ;) I like.

Although, I'd imagine this is what Hot topic and Blip Fest's baby would would like. zing.
