Someone asked, so: Yes, this is a paying "job" (if you want to call it that), if that serves motivation for anyone. ;p

Currently have a spot open for a release we been working on for well over a year now, at the very least. Turned out waay too long for this sort of thing.

Anyway, the only three prerequisites that is asked of you is the following:

1) You compose on le Amiga (why else would I be posting in this section ;p ).

2) Your style is similar to this:

http://www.myspace.com/stagediver414
http://www.myspace.com/hexadeci

So none of that lame Demoscene music bullshit or groovy-cutesy chip music, sorry. (yeah, i know chip forum blah blah blah)

We also are not looking for generic dancey euro hardcore either :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeuKa_uY0rk

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LCz7plu … re=related

We want something with more substance than a huge kick/snare overpowering everything. I for one am tired of that crap. It's nice for raves/dancers, but meh, this isn't a rave.

I ask that prequisite style since the three other people involved have already defined what this release is gonna sound like, thus throwing in an odd ball would be.... well odd. ;p Otherwise I wouldn't be asking of it.

If anyone knows anyone let me know by whatever means necessary. I am open to letters written in blood or a simple email/pm. Whatever floats your kinky ass.

We've gone through 3 people who dropped out already (some of you may know them), one in fact just recently dropped out yesterday (after promising for months that they'd provide something), hence the open call.

There's already a person who's applied, but I can't say we are 100% certain on them yet.

Oh and the last prequisite:

3) You are able to provide something within the coming 2 months, doesn't have to be finished, but some sort of solid work in progress should be provided at the very least. This shows us that you are dedicated and interested in the project. No slackers or people who are already way too busy with other commitments. The other 3 guys (Stagediver, Hexadeci, CCDM) have been able to provide something within a month easily. In fact, Stagediver and Hexadeci have redone theirs so many times already, it's unbelieveable hahah. Some people take longer however, which is understandable... but we're already growing weary of promises, yet people are unable to provide for various reasons (which is justifiable in their own lollife, but you can see why the frustration).

Thanks

I just had to post on here. -_-

Adding on what a few folks already said:

The girlfriend has been wanting to get circuits as sleeve across her right arm all the way down her lower-back right-side of her body. She's been wanting this for the longest (years) in a specific style and manner, but recently has been having second thoughts on it. This is the same girl who once told me she feels naked without this particular tattoo. NAKED. :p

This happens a lot apparently when people get tattoos (not the naked bit, the changing opinion ;p ), even when they delve into it for a few years.

All the more when one does not really think too much into.

Lets not forget: people are always changing, especially with taste as the years progress. Some more extreme than others. So that can always play a role in liking or disliking something.

The thing my girlfriend has been doing: Putting up designs she's drawn or things that are similar to what she wants etc. on a wall (in her bedroom). This way she's able to see it everyday. It's a good way to figure out whether one would get bored/tired/dislike a design over time.

Above all else though: who gives a fuck whether people on here like it or understand it. People probably have different tastes/thoughts/perspectives from you on this, thus it's pointless to ask for their opinion on something so "personal". For fuck sake, it's going on *your* body permanently (unless you wanna pay loads of cash later on to somewhat remove it). It's not going on people you're asking "thoughts" on for them to enjoy or wear.

This isn't a song you can ask for critique, so you can then later add or subtract accordingly to what you agree with or did not see the first time around composing, in order improve.

If only tattoos were that simple.

Do you ask people how to wear your hair? Dress? Who you should date? When or how you should eat or whether you're doing it right? If they approve of your choice of lifestyle? This is about *your* happiness and contentment, not anyone else's.

amidoinitritegais?

Of course people are always going to have opinions. Always. Whether they're right or wrong will more than likely usually be subjective.

You want my personal thoughts on your design?

I think it's shit. Another shitty tribal looking tattoo.... But hey, at least you're not getting some symbol based on some foreign Asian language who you know nothing of, you just think it looks "cool". Loads of people do that, believe it or not. Probably means "idiot" for all they know. How fitting.

Also, those two circle bits to the far right and left remind me of the Pepsi logo too much or some acient pokeball. Which would just be weird.

Do my thoughts on this matter at all now? No. Do you care? Probably not.

Happy now? Probably not, you were more than likely looking for approval instead.

Proceed to: ignore mode.

What was the point of all this again? Exactly.

Amazing, minimal, synth punk. At the itme it was called Neue Deutsche Welle (German new wave.)

+1 D.A.F.!

Anyway, since the early 80s seem to be neglected here:

While most "rebellious" youth were too busy with the "Punk" trend or post-punk or hardcore-punk or whatever punk blah blah blah (as if people don't use the term enough as it is), people were doing this:

Please, allow me to semi-goth this up (it fits the site's colours better) with super old Ministry (yes, the metal one, before the metal ;p)

^ That one is from like 81, although that video was shot in 82 i think. Synths used: Opus-3 Moog and Source Moog. Most people weren't even aware the song existed until someone upped that video a couple of years back on le tube.

^ composed some time between 81-84 but released in 85...That track, if I remember correctly, was mostly done with a Fairlight CMI synthesizer. Alot of early Ministry used the CMI. A lot of the Twitch album used it.

^1980 Korg MS-20 for drums... I think it was a CS80 Yamaha used as well...  and Black and Decker drill ;P

^ 1983

^84/85 the tune, not the video.

The End. Not classical, but a bit of mixutre of ambience and noise and whatnot... add some Throbbing Gristle, Boyd Rice, SPK etc. etc. and you got the beginnings of industrial music as it was.

Well, I'm not exactly looking for anything specific to be honest.

Although I am open to other gear, it all depends what people got really.

I'm currently looking for an ARP Odyssey actually (white face), but the BassStation wouldn't cover that trade, of course. :p

Oberheim Matrix 1000 would be an ideal trade or a Juno 60 (My 106 has a dead voice at the moment), but somehow I think that'd be kinda hard to find on here.

Dunno, open to vintage computers. what you got? Open to any gear really.

Novation BassStation (rack version NOT the keyboard version):

Condition: Good. It works and it's not beaten up. While I'm not the first owner of most of my gear, I take pride in all my vintage equipment to it's fullest.

Price: Make me an offer via PM or this thread. Trade or money.

Details: The Novation Bass Station is all true analog (no digital recreation here), but it is however DCO controlled. Meaning the oscillators won't go out of tune like much older analog equipment from say the 70s... like a Korg MS-20 etc.

Speaking of which, you'd be able to control an MS-20 (and any other vintage synths that accept CV) via MIDI with this, as the BassStation has a MIDI to CV convert.

It also has an input filter, so you can run various external sources through it's filter. Run your Gameboy through it? idk.

Some people simply like to call it a 303 (12db filter) emulator, but it's much more than that. You can get it to sound like a Moog (24db filter) synth for another example, among many other things.

People who have been known to use it: William Ørbit, Biosphere, Massive Attack, Orbital, Apollo 440, Nine Inch Nails, Radiohead, Jimi Tenor, Laurent Garnier, ATB, Sneaker Pimps/IAMX, Out of Logic and Underworld... among many others etc. etc.

NIN and Sneaker Pimps/IAMX FTW.

Keep in mind: it is Monophonic.

Nintendo Wii:

Price: Make me an offer via PM or this thread. Trade or money.. Obviously it will be cheaper than a new one at a store. ;p

Condition: Rarely ever used, so it's good to go. Was given to me as a gift ages ago, but unfortunately I stopped playing video games frequently in my teens. Rather invest money elsewhere... I have a couple of games for it, but I can't recall which... I think there's a Zelda one... dunno. I'll work that out later.

Details: Need I say more?

Echo Indigo PCMCIA Audio Interface:

Condition: Good and works etc.

Haven't used it in ages, since I use to use it mostly for on the go.

Price: Make me an offer via PM or this thread. Trade or money.

Pasting this off Amazon's description:

Notebook pro audio recording has never sounded so good, or been this convenient and affordable. Indigo IO offers one stereo 1/8 inch analog input and output on a Type II Cardbus card powered by your notebook computer. It combines this with 24-bit/96kHz converters for the quality you deserve. Also included is a 6 foot audio cable for RCA or 1/4 inch connections. A unique feature of the Indigo IO is the use of "virtual" outputs. Indigo IO appears to software as if it has eight separate outputs, which are digitally mixed down to the physical outputs using Indigo IO's "console" software and its on-board DSP. This makes Indigo IO compatible with all popular multi-track software. And, with Echo's "multi-client" drivers, more than one application (such as an editor and a software synth) can be playing back through Indigo IO at the same time.1 stereo 1/8" analog input*1 stereo 1/8" analog output*Supports full duplex 2 channel in, 2 channel out operationHigh quality headphone ampAnalog volume control knob for outputSupports true 24 bit, 96 kHz audio100 MHz 24 bit Motorola DSPPowered by your notebook computerIncludes 6 foot adapter cable for RCA and 1/4" connectionsType II Cardbus slot requiredSoftware console for monitoring, metering, and setting levelsBuilt-in digital mixer provides near-zero latency monitoringSupports Windows Me/2000/XP and Macintosh OS X (Jaguar & Panther)Supports pro audio software (WDM Kernel Streaming, ASIO, GSIF etc)

R.G. simply stands for "Radio Graffiti". It's just the name of the past compilation that had gone under various versions. The one up on TDS featured Dispyz, Goto80, x|k, Blue Reverberance, and Zooway tunes (did feature Nasenbluten at one point, but since the mp3 versions of the tunes are now being sold, they were removed to respect their wishes and income :p ). It's original purpose was to spread word ultimately:

http://trebledeathsystem.com/releases/18

By electronic music, I mean anything goes really. Run with it. It can have chip in it, it's more than welcome, but it isn't required. However, whether your track will be accepted is based on the overall sound of majority of tracks received by all those who submit. We usually do harsher low-tech sounds, but that isn't to say the compilation will turn out as such.

When and if in doubt, feel free to browse a few tunes on the TDS catalogue.

Is that a bit clearer? If not ask away.

EDIT: There is no "theme"... but if you want one: Just music you enjoy and feel proud of.

That work? ;D
