-got to chill and make music with new folks and oldheads, 8static, I/O, Byte Nyte (first in West Virginia, second in Bmore), random peoples houses and art spaces in philly who put up with my noisy shit
-i'd say 2011 was finally the year dubstep went full on international, commercial; many lulz were had
-got to reach out and spread the voice of heavy bass to the christian youth

that's pretty awesome that your ensemble was so open to your contribution. seeing that it was an "electronic ensemble" though, i'd think that you were fortunate that your gear wasn't that far a cry from what they had.
compare that to, say, a high school band -- can you imagine the music teacher holding auditions for 1st, 2nd and 3rd gameboy?
LOL oh man, that reminds me, Me, Chipocrite, An0va, Animalstyle and whoever else wants to join in were considering creating a gameboy orchestra.

yo, e.s.c. I just wanted to mention that when I caught your set in nyc after blip... 09 was it? I was totally digging it; some of the strangest, coolest sounds I heard and never thought i'd hear that at a "chip" show. Could tell people didn't get it though but whatever, it was nice!

Usually people stand around and stare at me akwardly. Some people take pictures, some people take videos. Some people yell shit at me and I gotta be all, "Goddammit I'm supposed to heckle you, not the other way around assholes!" I jump around like an idiot. Sometimes, afterwards a guy will me money.

@Active Knowledge word up! I'm glad to hear ya'll are making good progress up there. I still need to come to Boston sometime, maybe in spring?
And as far as PA goes, we def need to step up our game a bit and try to throw shows outside the city, it's hard but I don't think it's impossible.
@Victory Road agreed. to play devil's advocate, I will say though that all of those different styles are fairly similar. Now when people start calling stuff like dub, ambient, noise, and breaks, etc. techno is when I start throwing punches. I'm a skinny white bwoy and it doesn't help much but hey IT'S THE THOUGHT THAT COUNTS, FUCKERRRRRSSSS

not to get off topic or anything, but what the fuck IS dance music?
If I'm in the right mood, I can throw down to just about anything at any bpm, even if the time signature is "weird" or whatever. I just don't get it, is there supposed to be some sort of fucking music that you're only allowed to dance to, and the rest is shit you're supposed to just lie down with headphones on and pass out to? Fuck that, dance is a state of mind, not a fucking genre
