Can I also ask why does it have to be "all rights"? Why not a percentage of sales? Or why not additional money if the kickstarter is successful?
Will you be shipping a physical cd with each game too?

one idea - you could find a song you like on the site already and then just offer that person the $100 for the right to use it in your game.
Forget about TFM MM and VGM MM.
VGM MM was discontinued 3+ months ago, but only now it was noticed by someone. Did he asked me? No, despite having all my contacts (mail, ICQ, Facebook etc), and being contacting me directly before. This thread is two weeks old, did anybody else asked me directly or linked me here? No. That shows.
I wasted years on the project, implementing requests that are useless for me, writing 100K docs in foreign language (had to learn it in process) that nobody reads, providing support through answering questions that are answered in the docs, and what I get is 'interface never improved much' and things like that. Great, thanks.
The never improved interface of the first version, by the way.
this makes me really sad. i loved vgm music maker and i really appreciate all the work you put into it. i'm sorry if it wasn't a good experience for you but you should be really proud. good luck with whatever you do next!
i could be wrong but it's my understanding that lsdj doesn't work well on a gba flash cartridge. you'd be better off just getting an EMS cartridge which is totally compatible with the gameboy advance anyways.
i went to college for classical guitar so yeah, i can.
You don't have 9 dollars?
did you play the horn parts too?
i've probably listened to this 50 times by now.
Neil's cancer donation fund?
10 out of 10.
Funny, I was thinking of doing a hype thread for my next release. Even PM'd a mod to make sure it was semi-okay. Guess I should think twice about doing it then.
the thing about "hype" threads, for me, is that they never work. in fact, they often accomplish the exact opposite of what the artist is intending, which is, they annoy me and then i purposefully avoid that person's music. if you spam me on soundcloud, i will go out of my way to never listen to your songs. if you post them reasonably and a friend tells me it's good, i will pay to download it.
so yeah, just post the music. hype is annoying. the end.
are those arduinoboys still for sale?
i never had a gameboy when i was young (game gear!) so i bought my first gameboy maybe three years ago from a local game store. it was 25 bucks and came in the box with the manuals and a sweet zelda poster. shouldn't be hard to find a nearby gamestore!
or you could get one on ebay.
mods are not necessary in any way to start out.
