man, you are a nutter. Just ask Lazerbeat how hard lazerscale was... i'm sure you'll hear some words of warning..!

if, however, you don't take the massive amount of advice against such a thing.....

I take my hat off and salute you!!

my proudest moment was being on Winterchip!
listening to other Ubik and Pause releases (and not being kicked off)

bookmarking ant1's bandcamp was a good thing to do
ilkae said he really liked n0de-claw and some people paid money for it

i refused a gig offer i suppose, that felt pretty amazing

for me:

- starting cheapbeats with lazerbeat
- BLIP tokyo pre- and post- parties.
- BLIP Tokyo itself (hip tanaka mosh pit, stage diving and trash80's encore)
- becoming a part of the Tokyo chipscene in itself is excellent, meeting awesome artists who I admire and respect like Coova, Quarta 330, minikomi, lazerbeat, Hip Tanaka, bun, etc. etc.
- meeting (some of) the Australia crew

getting excited for next year now!!

excited for this because I'm just learning to use piggy tracker!

downloading now!

was waiting for an excuse to include you yorkii big_smile... that video was a good enough reason...

pretty stoked that Gen Bass got plugged on the Mad Decent blog earlier this month (http://www.maddecent.com/blog/generation-bass) and they got a heap more followers/readers so really hoping I can help some of you talented sorts get some more notice outside the chipscene..

Big thanks again Alex!
That video came about thanks to the 8-bit calender that Josh keeps running on 8bp:

man oh man, i've been clocking up the posts here. Pleased to report that I finally got it working thanks to the zip lazerbeat provided above.

but......

the headphone button is in the worst place possible!!! I was playing it on the AV jack, which is excellently placed, but when I use this, sound comes out of the lil dingoo's speakers.... is there anyway to disable this? There's no way I can imagine using  the dingoo for a long time if I have to use the headphone jack.

If you want to give me your dingoo, I will set is up for you mate.

Bleo has a zip with all the junk to get piggy to auto boot somewhere but I can't find it off hand. I will ask him when I see him on line.

Edit, found it ! http://hexawe.net/mess/bleHOLe/PIGDOO.zip

nice! I'll give it ago myself, but if I can't do it, I'll hand it over to you mate.

Thanks again

DIngoo
The dingoo is my personal fave because I'm more of an on-the-go pigger with a tight budget.  It's really really small and the battery lasts an insanely long time.  I have mine set to go straight to piggy when dingux loads, so from power off to piggy is literally 4 seconds.  Sound output is OK, I've never directly compared but I've heard an entire set of piggy music via dingoo thru a club PA and it sounded excellent.  I recently dropped mine on the face and cracked the screen, but got a replacement from deal extreme for $17.  Plan on doing that today, so I'll let you know how that goes.  The only real cons are that with the small size, the screen is a bit harder to see and that the shoulder buttons aren't as comfortable.  Neither of those 2 things have ever bothered me, but some people have mentioned those aspects.

Is there a guide available at all on how to set up the dingoo to run piggy in this way. I'm having a few unforseen problems installing dingux.

The cheapbeats poster is by the awesome m7kenji and I am fairly sure Jules did the poster for the tour himself.

Indeed, a fabulous artist. if you ignore the prat talking into the camera, you can see more of his artwork in the background to my set in Tokyo last weekend:
