Working with Ultrasyd on this release was a dream come true. Having seen him in Tokyo twice, and played in London with him earlier this year, suffice it to say, I've watched this album develop over the last year and been continuously impressed. It's been a long time coming, but so so worth it.

Thanks to the CB crew: Toni and KeFF for making this release the best it could be. ♡

J3WEL leaves nothing to the imagination, coming full force with all that the gameboy has to offer. Big bass, wicked melodies and naughty samples from the WAV channel... "f**k off..!"

Was a pleasure to work with J3WEL on this release, and having met Connor in person, I feel we'll be seeing a lot more of him in 2016.

FREE EP!!! ワーイヽ(゚∀゚)メ(゚∀゚)メ(゚∀゚)ノワーイ

I had most of the tracks for this finished early summer, but then I started to play with the PO12 more... and then the analog sync came out for Nanoloop, and it just went so well together, I worked on these tracks over the summer in preparation for Square Sounds Tokyo.

Very happy with the way it all turned out, and the remix from Fast RAM (who the hell is this guy anyway?!) is the strawberry sauce on the ice-cream to finish it off.

Epic fantasy battles, soaring high in the sky on a dragons back, fighting Beelzebub in the fiery pits of a black mage's dungeon, riding a acid-fed NES controller-shaped roller coaster of doom...

These are just some of the many images that spring to mind when listening to Swerdmurd's incredible debut album with us on Cheapbeats.

Enjoy!

The debut for FAAS on Cheapbeats and their second full length.

The play between digital and analogue devices is a very different route for the label, and one that I we will be bringing more of in the future. There really is no better way to start this new journey than with For Astronauts, so put on your headphones and prepare to get lost in the lush soundscapes from the FAAS boys.

Nice move sir. Keep up the good work wink

I've just tried this now.  The USB-MIDI adapter is recognised, but I'm unable to send or receive, or do anything at all actually. Tried on both windows and mac.

EDIT: Tried with GBA SP and normal GBA

Yep, chipWIN is definitely one of the more active, professionally ran, passionate promoters of chipmusic out there. The Facebook group is a haven for up and coming artists as well as more established producers. Oh, and pizza pictures and (formally) constant "is this chiptune?" questions.

So yeah, as an0va said, sometimes its not for all (only sometimes though) but definitely a force to be reckoned with in the current chip-landscape.

DISCLAIMER: I have nothing to do with the management or administration of chipWIN, the closest I get to that is being asked to be a judge on the compilation occasionally.
