Holy crap, I wonder if Treyfrey himself knows he has so many rabid fanboys. It's completely counter intuitive to his chill personality, I honestly dont think he wouldve cared about that comment AT ALL

OP: Strongly recommend you check out Kris Keyser, or my homeboy Chipocrite. Both very melodic, rock based (as opposed to dance based) jams. Also, Animal Style and Cheap Dinosaurs if you want to delve further into progressive stuff with thick chorrrds. Also, subpixel's The Wave release might blow your mind. And of course, there's always my bandcamp page if you want to indulge my shameless self promotion! wink

You guys have to hear the KOOL SKULL/SKGB "Cutie Cake" split.

nonfinite's "Bluesight" pretty much taught me everything I need to know. It's an amazing track.

Only about half of the way in and I already love this. I've been looking forward to its release since I heard the title track in that e-mail you sent me.

Question: Are you classically trained in music or something? There are melodies intertwined all throughout the album as recurring motifs and hints from previous material (even the title track starts out with the line that the Space Boyfriend EP ended with!), "Overture" is actually a real overture unlike when most people call their tracks "overture," and tracks like "X" sound like a full orchestra by using themes in a different context with tension and release. I'm only asking because there are some deceptively mature compositional techniques used throughout these tracks that I hear on very few (if any) other chip releases out there and it is freaking awesome. It's like a musical and I mean that in an extremely positive way.

Also, I don't know how you do it, but "Watermelon Party" is like the spiritual sequel to "Cutie Cake," and "Honeydew" right after it is brilliant.

EDIT: JESUS CHRIST TRACK 12 IS INSANE WHERE DID THAT COME FROM YES
