Interesting, nice work.

It's very London-centric, will it benefit places outside London? I like the sports, though I think it's incredibly over-commercialised. 'McDonalds' and 'Coca-cola' being sponsorships for promoting fitness and health? Surely that's a joke.

Welcome to electro wink

Some of the sections in your tracks are interesting, it wouldn't make the tracks less listenable if there were some builds up that stretched 8/16 bars. Even a subtle progression of percussive/timbre's might add that little more interest to the ears. Just a few pointers I could pick out on, it's your music at the end of the day.

Do the midiboys have the ftdi pin so you can update/modify the code?

I'll have to let Nex answer that.

What are the benefits about having a 'midiboy'?

Is the price '$389.99/£252' really justified? If so, can you explain why it adds to this amount even with all the additions it has with it. Crazy price imo.

A midiboy is a gameboy with an Arduinoboy built right into the shell. the benefit is that you can sync the gameboy with midi devices.

As Nex's last post states, he put a lot of time and effort into these and they are very high quality products.

Cool, interesting info - thanks.

how did you create the visuals? programWise - how was it done in realtime?

Hi,

I created the visuals using a software called Touch Designer which is made by derivative (http://derivative.ca/), it's a free program.

By realtime animation, I mean that the the visuals were created while audio was also playing. Unlike other programs which work where the animation is pre-rendered - this programs enables you to create animation on the fly.

Expanding and experimenting more with using visuals with music, the titles comes from the visuals forming a X like shape in the process.

Visuals were made in realtime, the track was also created by myself.

You can download it here:- http://soundcloud.com/cs001/03-cs-devastation-connect
Track: Cerebral Scars - Connect.

Few points made about your video:-

The actors are incorrectly holding and wielding both a shinai and boken. Learn martial-arts or at least research enough into the props you use before filming.

'I thought I would drop the video off to a group of people who really appreciate Chiptune in hopes of getting help with promotion for my friend, myself, and chiptune all together so at any rate. Please take a look at the Video and if you like it leave a comment.'

The music's not being appreciated as you'd like it because the track sounds like a style thats been recreated lots of times. An interesting attempt merging visuals and music together, try working on sounds and ideas more next time.

Japanese girls and 8-bit music. all a chiphead could want?

Do you not think you're stereotyping?

The video had a short attention span because it just mainly featured close up shots of peoples faces, you should vary the shots more if you were to improve it. 4 minutes itself felt like a long time just to watch peoples faces.
