Actually I'm having a bit of trouble, when I try to start the utility in OS X i just get a message that says "No input ports available!" I'm not sure what that means or how to fix it.

It's probably looking for the usb-midi adapter which you don't have at the moment unless you got magical overseas shipping abilities?

INCREDAMAZEBALLZZZZZ:  http://www.nanoloop.com/midi/

This adaptor connects a Game Boy link cable with a PC's USB port. It appears as a MIDI port on the PC and offers the following functionality:

- Load updates for nanoloop 2.x and nanoloop one.
- Load additional 32k ROMs, such as mGB, on nanoloop one.
- Backup / restore songs from / to nanoloop 2.5 and nanoloop 1.6.
- Sync any nanoloop version to MIDI-enabled programs on the PC.
- Play the Game Boy via MIDI from the PC using mGB.
- MIDI signals from the Game Boy are forwarded to the PC.

egr: THAT thing CAN be done cheaper, i'm sure. Looks like 4 pots and 10 jacks in a box for 50$...come oooon

Its all the routing configs that make that particular unit so appealing to me.
What I'm actually envisioning would essentially be a flat tabletop patchbay with a headphone amp and some pots.  Then you could configure it to have many different combinations of effect loops, inputs, and sends.

Sort of like the "monome" of mixers.  lol  wink

Had a little confusion with shipping but its all straightened out now.  Get them vinyl orders rollin' doods!

Something functionally similar to this but with a more friendly layout would be ideal for me (totally passive so no batteries but probably would need a headphone amp):  http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/SplitMix4

+1 on micro mixer, all stereo with effect loop and phone channel.
How much juice would that need?  Possible to run off link port or USB?

So is this even a thing you can do?  I've learned just enough about amigas to fuck everything up lol.

How would I go about making a workbench disc (or set of discs) that will let me boot directly into my sampler program?  Some kind of batch process or something?  Links to tutorials or "... for dummies" type articles appreciated.  tongue
