Shinsei Kamattechan: If The Flaming Lips never evolved out of doing acid punk and kept that influence through the remainder of their work, they'd probably sound kinda like this. Punk vocals and guitar with multi-layered synth/piano melodies. Their frontman and songwriter Noko is about as crazy as Wayne Coyne and as musically talented as Steven Drozd. Their album Tanoshii ne is available on US iTunes now, and it's their best work to date.

This description is so great that I almost don't want to look up the band for fear they won't live up to it.

But I will anyway.

No problem, i didnt really notice that theres no dowloads from mixcloud when i set that up.

Listening back to this on the way to work today i wish i had paid more attention to the reverb instead of "set it and forget it" but whatevs, if you crank the volume it dont make no nevermind no how.

When not listening to chip-related stuff (or classics from my 90s high school days) I'm prob listening to heavy blues:

The Delta Saints

Muddy Waters

R. L. Burnside

Yay these are gonna go on most everything I have!  heart

This is a mix I made of personal favorite tracks from the Datathrash catalog to hopefully keep people interested in the older releases and maybe bring in some new fans that feel like they don't know what we're about.

This is "Arnie and Chad's Finite Chipthrash Playlist (2013 March 7)"  \m/ \m/

LINK: http://www.mixcloud.com/Datathrash/

All the tracks in this have been made available for individual download at http://datathrash.bandcamp.com from their respective albums (we don't normally do that).

You'll shake your spacebutt!

Wav channel with lots of overtones has always sounded reverby to me.

Neil Baldwin remix DESTROYS EVERYONE IN THE HAUS

Agreed on all points.  \m/

I've got one of these on the way:

I was originally planning on using it with FT2 but this will be much cooler!

Tristendo's music is always a well-crafted blend of the playful and bizarre, often very technical and sometimes truly experimental. Here he is presenting Datathrash's first NES/FDS based release. As a special treat, there's also a remix from another master experimentalist, Neil Baldwin!

Roboctopus

shitbird

Dream Fox

Mr. Wimmer

Solarbear (with wimmer accompianment)

Cool!  This could be really interesting.

This is facinating!
