@Yerzmyey 3 channels only contest? sounds promising. i'll try to make something.

@Vicious: make sure you use the latest MusicMon version (2.5d) and there shouldn't be a problem. btw SNDHs from MusicMon generally don't open in MaxYMizer because of differences in the song format.

hmm, interesting. might submit something, though people probably won't give bonus points for using 3 channels ST sound only neutral

awesome release, dark and crunchy. looking forward to hearing some of these songs live soon!

thanks Mister Beep!

the next episode is in the works, it will be on YU The Music Box aka The Music Studio. Unfortunately I've had no luck contacting Saša Pušica so far. If anybody knows how I can get a hold of him, let me know. I've tried his facebook but no answer sad

this sounds very interesting, but i don't see any subtitles!?!

ed: ahh i see, it's only transcription. can you make real subtitles instead, that would be much more pleasant to watch.

ahh, glad to see you've uploaded the code and build instructions. would there be enough power to use a real pc speaker instead of a piezo?
also JOB WELL DONE wink

@ freezedream for real authentic sound you should mount it in a metal box wink

awesome! i have no idea how it works but these examples sure are impressive.

thanks y'all! this stupid little video generated quite a bit more attention than i expected.

@hotmess but... i wasn't even high when i did the vid wink

thanx for the cheers, guys!

i'll try to improve the audio part next time. trash80 is right, i need a better mic, however i'm a cheap bastard and i can't afford one wink will look into making a pop filter as well, that'll help me boost the voice.

also don't forget to subscribe my channel! xD

Hi everybody,

I've decided to make a video show about 1 bit music.

The first episode talks about the famous ZX Spectrum editor Wham! The Music Box from 1985.

You can watch the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9PihyppsR4

Comments and suggestions are appreciated. This is my first screencast ever, so I might still need to practise a bit. wink

glad to hear you've smashed that noise bug. have you updated the download? maybe you could add a version number to the file name, too.

i'm already working on some demo tunes, however i'm a very slow composer so it might take some time before i actually release something.

i also have other idea one of my friends(also beta tester) and me have talk about, let you  hide instruments in the track to give a better overview

hmm, i think hiding the instruments would actually make things more confusing. but if other people requested this feature i don't see why not.

fedepede04 wrote:

i can maybe make  some sort of print length, if you don't use sustain hold, but where to print it?

hmm, i guess only possibility would be to print it next to the tab heading, so it reads "Envelope - L: nnnn"
it wouldn't look very nice of course... but i think it's a really necessary function.

anyway beta tester application sent wink

at the moment cm.org only looks good if you have a widescreen. for small laptop screens the layout is too wide.

It would be completely pointless to support 800x600.

why not, if it can be achieved with an easy solution (ie use the blank space in the top right corner)?
