Re: Is chipmusic a genre or a medium? (55 replies, posted in General Discussion)
if you insist that chiptune isnt a genre it's your own fault when rock fans dont like your NES music at their gigs (which they won't)
i think you might be trying to legitimise it by saying "it's not a genre, it's a way of making TOTALLY LEGIT rock music!! just like nirvana and the beatles!!"
if someone played me a heos song my first thought would be "what a cool chiptune" not "what a cool metal song" and so would you i think and so would everyone else

or maybe make some sorta of data cable that you can track on the pc and playback on hardware?
i saw one of this for genesis. someone made it 8bc. it runs on DOS. but was never released. that is a better idea than a native track i think (a genesis + monitor is bigger than a pc and with a worse UI, worst of both worlds imo (although i TOTALLY can see the attraction of working with old stuff and turning the PC off for once) )

yeah because 98% of humans on earth are shitty electro house DJs it wasnt that hard for them to find each other
if i went out into the world and talked to people i'd end up being friends with steve aoki or afrojack
if you don't like the site why don't you just sign out and not come back instead of trying to police which spaces other people use for innocuous and constructive interaction which ultimately Makes Them Happy
if it doesn't pay to be a dick online why don't you stop doing it
