You need an angled pair of needle nose pliers, preferably the 90 degree variety. Do you have a harbor freight near your or any mechanic friends?

Have you tried various needle nose pliers? There are some with curved tips and angled tips that help.

Use a small flat tip screw driver to torque through the cross section you stripped out.

Do you save from lsdj or as a save state? If you save from lsdj it should make a sav file which you can extract songs from using http://code.google.com/p/lsdmanager/
I wrote a bunch of songs on my phone and extracted them the same way to put on my GBC.

FUCK! This is what happens when you delay your releases. I've also been working on a GB version of Flappy Bird which is basically finished, and this is the second or maybe even third person to release a port before me.
Put sunglasses on the bird and release it.
